No one is going to confuse Hoax with someone who is smart.  K-State just updated its entire master plan.

Nearly $350 million dollars in new construction completed in the last 4 years.    Another $225 million about to commence in the next 12 months, another $150 million plus in the fundraising stage.    That doesn't include the nearly $1 billion that will be spent on NBAF.

The Anderson Football Center is a newer, slightly larger version of Vanier.   Vanier 2.0 will dwarf the AFC.

you wouldn't understand as you're not a graduate of the nation's 60th (tie) ranked law school.  people care about that damn law school building.  it's important.

The KU Endowment is an actual thing.  So it is capitalized.  Your smaller Endowment is also an actual thing, so it is also capitalized.  It can also be used in part to fund athletic facilities, but usually is not.  I did not say it would be, but Memorial is highlighted as a near term project on the master plan.

My point is that you focus all of your school's energy on raising funds to add to the only building on campus anyone in world would cares anything about.  If anyone proposed a campus-wide master plan at K-state like the one at KU, everyone would laugh.  So you will have a nice stadium soon and in the future.  We will have an even more amazing campus and a new stadium soon (relatively) and in the future.  K-State couldn't expand or improve its campus the way KU intends because K-State has about 1/5 the $$$.  If you funneled the football donations to your Endownment, it might move from 1/5 the size of KU's to 3/10 the size.

Take a lap.

The most laughable part is that Hoax thinks that ku is going to be allowed to borrow against it's full endowment, or that somehow that endowment could be capitalized.   If that happens, no one is likely to ever establish a permanent endowment at ku ever again.  Good luck going to the the estates/trusts/families/individuals who have established permanent endowments for specific purposes (some of whom are K-State alumni) at ku and explaining that capitalization.

The endowment funds are separate corporations operating under the umbrella of the university, if other entities within the university borrow money from the endowment, that means that ultimately the university, the KBOR, and the State of Kansas' debt burden increases right along with it.

Memorial needs a complete overhaul. I'm confident a massive project will be competed within the next 5 years making it far more attractive than KSU's facilities.
Confidence rising!

Aren't they realizing by now that it is obviously not?  I mean, look at Memorial.  And why not use the endowment for the Gridiron Club (Coming 2010)?

He's a decent sock.  He's actually someone who should be enjoyed whilst perusing there.  Also, nobody laughed at my inter-thread remark about small endowments  :shakesfist:.

Probably already luke'd, but anyway:

Students are tired of subsidizing losers, and try to get rid of the fees that they have to pay that goes straight to KU AD.  Grey-Little does a Solomon-like splitting of the baby down the middle.

Campus Master Plan Projects/K-State 2025

Can someone quantify this spending and eventual campus size ratio as relative to the student body? Then compare it to KU?  I think that stat would be most telling about the difference in excellence of beautiful Manhattan and that dirty floormat to KC.
