Big Bro:  Another $62 million in facilities improvements.

Lil Bro:  Hey uh, City of Lawrence and some other dude, and some foundation, could you ah, lease us some land 5 miles off campus for 50 years so we can build a new track.

Memorial Stadium Improvements coming 2015!!   :crossfingers:

Private financing vs. adding another $62 million to K-State's $83 million in long-term debt.  I'm sure you'd be making fun of that if the shoe were on the other foot.

Have they completely scrapped the Gridiron club?  That would be a huge shame

Dax when is KU going to the board of whatever and brief them on the coming improvements?  Assuming they haven't yet, I have to assume our improvements to the NEZ etc will happen before theirs?

I thought it was done with the plans to be released right after basketball season

:dunno:   They haven't officially requested anything yet, just had the KBOR add it to the KBOR school's facilities timeline which gets changed fairly often.

I think their intent was to see what we do and blow it out of the water so probably $150 million+

The next $62 million will all be privately funded.   You don't pay very close attention when you're mad, and with the lease, ku just hooked itself to a 50 year financial obligation.

The lease is for 30 years, $40 million, and it will all be privately financed.  I haven't paid close attention to K-State's facilities news because I'm a KU fan.  I actually enjoy watching my own team win.  You should try it sometime.

You're glued to every post on this board my friend, that's why you have thousands of posts on here.

Oh, and in terms of football, if winning 3 out of 41 conference games gives you joy, than you are living large TSC buddy.

I've been posting on here since 2010... the posts add up.  I don't read every page of every thread, or anything close to what you want to believe in your delusional little head.  I mainly just chime in on discussions related to KU, which can add up when KU discussion dominates this board 365 days a year.

As for KU football, yeah, it's been a tough few years.  It sucks when your team loses and when your program falls off a map just a few years after winning a BCS Bowl and going 12-1.  It sucks losing to your in-state rival when your alma mater went 4-1 against them during your time in school.  But you know what?  I wouldn't trade being a KU fan for anything.  The tough times just make the good times that much better, and I appreciate what we have in hoops that much more.

better campus, better town, better school, better students

This all seems very subjective.  I'd be curious what your reasoning was?  I'll admit that KSU graduation is underwhelming in comparison to KU's.  My older sister graduated there and after seeing the march down the hill into Memorial I was very excited about what KSU graduation would be like.  In case you are unaware, KSU graduation is so that professors can congratulate each other and it is just awful. Beyond that. . I can't see anything that is hands down "better" in everyone's opinion.

Back in your homeland, when it's actually operational, just a single K-State game can occupy 7-10 pages and hundreds of posts over the course of a couple of hours.    This thread and others have gone on for days, weeks, months.

Perspective; not just a breakfast food.

Full fledged validation and affirmation mode is your strongest of traits, never stop.

I actually dislike mu much more then I've ever disliked TSC friend ku.

Again, you're in full validation and affirmation mode because you know you convinced yourself about 4 or 5 years ago that ku had surpassed K-State once and for all.   The Gridiron Club banners were going up, Mark Mangino coached ku football, you bragged and bragged about all the money ku had, you claimed K-State was in a "shambles" and laughed and laughed.

4 years later, and $128 million dollars in facilities improvements at K-State, with another $62 million in the final stages, nearly $100 million in private giving to K-State athletics in the last 4 years, Emaw elite donors giving millions of dollars.   Now phognet in angst laden near meltdown over the lack of information about facilities, legislature shoots down ku athletics sorry attempt to build a basketball dorm, the once proposed on campus "olympic village" is being built 5 miles off campus, Big 12 Schools pouring 10's even 100's of millions into football facilities . . . and ku hints they might do something in a year or two in the midst of a 3 win in 41 games conference record in the last 5 years.

No wonder you're melting down.   Sorry friend.

You can only repress a good meltdown for so long, I guess.  I didn't even see that one coming honestly.  It just seems like most of the people on this board would rather hate on KU than say something good about K-State.  There was a time when fans like Dax were the exception to the rule, but now it just seems like K-State fans hate the crap out of KU like never before.  The "eff KU" chant from the student section and the constant circle jerk to KU's horrendous football program are just two examples of this recent phenomenon.  Social media brings out the worst in people, and this board is no exception.
