Here's what's going to happen, the requirements are going to suck, we'll engineer something that meets the requirements but still flops.  As we're manufacturing it the sales guys will be all "oh wait we need it to be friendly to deaf people too! yada yada."  Hey bud, not in the requirements, jump in a rough ridin' lake.

Hurry up alright, need to print off the specs(?) before I leave work today.

And make sure there is no way rodents can get into the ventilation system.

did you not see the part about making the cats look in danger?  I mean, the machine should look pitiful, flamible, and full of mold or something.  The worse it looks, the more pitiful the cats sitch looks, the more heart strings are tugged upon, the more cats we sell.  We aren't looking for anything sexy here.

Usually we just upload the design to a database that they pull from.  We have a series of meetings to make sure they accept the design as we're produced it.

I made some changes to Benji's design. I incorporated the kitten in danger idea, but I think you just need to have each kitten hanging from a noose - you don't need to go to all the trouble of fire or whatever.

Once you choose your kitten, the noose is released and the kitten slides down that slide/funnel thing. Also, the half price kitten is one that is getting too old to be called a kitten.

used a vending machine a few weeks ago. tried to get salt & vinegar chips ($1.50), second row from the top. they got stuck. instead of getting a second bag, i decided to get the famous amos cookies ($2) just above them, hoping that the bag of cookies (presumably heavier), would brush the chips, dropping both to the bottom. instead, the famous amos cookies fell, but not the salt & vinegar chips.

i then deposited another $1.50 into the vending machine and got the salt & vinegar chips - and both bags fell to the bottom.

so, instead of spending $1.50, I spent $5.

...except, since i now had three bags of chips and cookies, i needed something to wash them down. so i deposited $5 (i had no $1s left) into the soda vending machine and got a diet coke, and it spit back nothing but coins. well, who wants coins? so i ended up getting some peanut M&M's out of the food vending machine.

so, in summary, one vending machine snafu can really pile up, and it all adds up to $$ faster for the rich, fat and greedy vending machine owners. it's a cash cow. definitely invest in one of these if your financial situation allows.

The ideal pet vending machine would also have a method of trapping strays and sorting the cats from the dogs. It would release rodents, of course. That way all you have to do is refill the food in the trap and collect your money.
