no doubt when frank was here that he was meaner and weirder than self but with him gone? i mean self just gets so red and spits and yells and not just at refs but at his own players all the time. and he gets technicals like a lot. is there anyone comparable? huggins maybe but i don't even think you can really compare them. self just seems meaner. like whoa guy, i'm trying to do my best here. calm down.

what am i missing? i mean this league has some real characters like drew and huggins but when you get down to it, self really probably is the least likeable from a verifiable actions standpoint, no?

also, i'm disregarding and not even including the fact that i'm 99% sure he has cheated on his wife multiple times because i haven't actually witnessed it first hand and have just heard about it from people i trust.

i thought about it and this is what sticks out the most. just watch a ku game where the score is close and i promise you that at some point in time he is going to be red faced yelling spitting and someone (another coach or player) will be holding him back or trying to redirect him. i mean, he's the coach and other people are having to worry about him! where else does that happen?

His off-the-court antics worry me the most.  He has players who are top NBA talent and he breaks them down to a point where their draft stock falls so he can selfishly keep them longer.  Pretty scary if you really think about it...

I think making Joel Embiid play in their Super Bowl when he was admittedly hurt was pretty mean.  the guy had an MRI and the were worried about knee damage but he sent him out there.  Forcing injured players onto the court.  Makes me worried that Joel could suffer a serious injury and damage his professional prospects.

i think what you're witnessing is a man whose life is spiraling out of control.  when he came to the big 12, he was a much different person.  he was cordial and seemed very outgoing, a nice person to be around.  now we hear stories of him hanging with co-eds and drinking on mass street.

he wears those years he's spent in lawrence like a putrid rotting fungus.  it's really a sad example of the pressure of high major division 1 athletics and what it can do to a person.  #disgusting #sad
