Baylor
« on: February 12, 2014, 10:32:40 PM »
They have really struggled at home as of late, losing 4 in a row.  The numbers are just not good at all.

Game       PPP   eFG     2Pt     3Pt     TO%
OU(1-18)  0.96  45.8  18-39   6-20    17.2
UT(1-25)  0.85  34.8   15-39   3-17   18.3
WV(1-28)  1.02  56.8   10-24  10-20  27.0
KU(2-4)    0.79  39.4   10-35   6-20   16.7
4 gm Ave  0.90  42.3  38.7%  32.5% 19.5

They also are only grabbing 28.5 OR% in those 4 games
Defensively they are allowing 1.03 ppp and 47.8 eFG in those 4 (pretty decent)

* Heslip, who is shooting 48.9% from 3pt in Big 12 games was 10-25 in those 4.  He is a dangerous shooter and is shooting 8 3pt per game. We did a very good on Forte in Manhattan.  Got to have that same approach when guarding Heslip on Saturday
* Jefferson/Austin/Gathers only made 28-81 2pt shots (34.6%).  That's a big reason why Baylor only hit the 38.7 on 2pt shots

We have struggled with defense on the road.  KU, Isu and WV all have been pretty good offensive teams at home.  We need to make it difficult on Baylor and not let break out of the funk

I hate Baylor matchups, cause it doesn't matter where they're at in the season, they're always a ticking time bomb with that talent. Last year KU fell victim, who is it this year? :ohno:

I think we've won the last 3-4 games down there by 1-3 points, just going by memory.  This Saturday is scary as hell... They played & shot the ball out of their minds tonite and as they are very Jekyl & Hyde, who knows if they tank or play great.

They lit up TCU twice this year, but that isnt really saying much.  Tcu is giving up like 1.17 ppp

I am sure they are due for a decent or good offensive showing at home, but for whatever reason they have struggled of late.  We are the best defensive team in this league.  UT and KU (good and above ave teams on D) really shut them down.   I don't think any road game we have the rest of the season will be an easy game, but this game is very winnable for a lot of reasons

Yep.  We won by 3, 1 and 2 the last three times we have been down there

KU and Texas also matched up better due to size on the defensive end vs them.

I am very nervous for this game. While BU might not be playing well at home, we are not playing well at all on the road.

Win wise we haven't played well on the road, but we've been in every game. We're due to snap that. Cats by 3.

FYP. Cats by 9.

The only thing I'm worried about in this game is Austin's fake eye falling out on national TV. Stuff like that really grosses me out.   :barf:

I'd first try Shane on Austin and Gip or Nino on Jefferson.

Do we all have to wear the same clothes and sit in the same seats? What if I don't make exactly the same order. WHERE DOES IT END?
