Quote from: chum1 on February 05, 2014, 07:33:13 PMThanks, Ethan. Have any funny or interesting stories about your recruitment? Thanks to all you guys welcoming me! I have other football offers, but the one thing that stuck out to me was the family atmosphere. The only thing really that I guess has been interesting in recruiting is all the speculations of me today. I have people accuse me of lying on recruiting websites and if Scout.com would have ever listened to my emails or ESPN.com would have updated my profile with my current offers and stats this would not have been as big of a surprise to everyone. I made a couple All-American games but couldnt play in them because my dad was diagnosed with cancer and had major surgery so I turned down the offers so I could be with him and make sure everything was okay. My dad was able to go with me on my official which was really important to me and coach Lattimore and Snyder spent a lot of time with us and made us feel at home. I was also able to see snow for the third time in my entire life which was pretty cool.
Thanks, Ethan. Have any funny or interesting stories about your recruitment?

Not worried.
Ethan sounds like a stud boss who loves kicking ass and taking names.

My name of course is Ethan Calhoun and I am from Phenix City Alabama. I have pretty good grades and on my official visit I was given a pretty good academic scholarship. Because of my academics the coaches wanted me to be a preferred walk-on my first year and I would have an opportunity to earn an athletic scholarship my regular freshman year. Scout.com as well as ESPN.com have not updated my profiles since the 9th grade. Their information is totally off. On Scout.com it says I play tackle when in all reality I have never played tackle in my life and on ESPN.com it has me listed as guard when I actually played center my whole high school career. Of course I have gotten a little bigger since freshman year and on my official visit I weighed in at 277 pounds and they got my height at 6'2. I have tried to contact ESPN and scout to change my information (and that picture of me on ESPN looking shocked haha) but have not been able to get in touch with anyone. Today I signed a letter of intent that did not involve an athletic scholarship, but reserved my spot on the team and that they wanted me to be apart of their team as if I was on scholarship. Hope I was able to answer you guy's questions and her is the link to my highlight tapes. I am glad to be able to be apart of the K-State family. http://www.hudl.com/athlete/1356153/ethan-calhoun
