it's all a matter of starting point kim (you never answered my question), i feel i look no better or worse than before beard, just different.  anyways, i am way past the point where i care how people think i look or i would not be growing a beard for a year.

dude, that is my only worry.  my wife is hoping it will be too hot for me so i will shave it.  so not only do i have to fight not being a hero, i have to fight the ego thing with my wife.

corn starch helps cool you down, could look kinda funky in the beard, but maybe not!

great idea!  but do i put the corn starch on all of me or just the beard?  i don't want to get this wrong.

Big thing that made it doable was conditioner when showering and beard oil afterwards.  Initially,  it was super stiff like a brillo pad or something.   Conditioner and oil has it super soft now and feels great.

Check out the thread about Benja buying something on amazon from last week.  I linked it there.  It is $25 and you get a super tiny bottle of it, but it lasts a really long time.  I haven't used two bottles yet and I have been using it for 4 months.
