Nearly 50 envelopes of Heroin found in his apartment.

 :sdeek:

That seems excessive.

Maybe his New Year's resolution was to do 1 envelope of heroin per week in 2014 and he wanted to be able to follow through?

I'm sad for his children, but I think he's an extremely selfish person. It's like bubz said, don't do heroin if you have dependents. Find another drug to abuse.

You guys, quit praising this moron. He was a pretty decent actor, but that doesn't excuse or cover for what he does. He died of a rough ridin' OD...what an idiot. I'm not saying that was right or wrong because he can do what he wants.

He made his bed, now he has to lay in it. Move on. There are plenty of other actors out there that don't have to stick a needle in their arm to have fun.

No one excused his actions at  all really, but its still sad he choose that path in life.

Agreed.

I'm just sick of hearing everyone at work talk about it's so sad to lose such a great actor and blah blah blah...

I'm like, get over it. He shot up and killed himself. Case closed. Move on to another actor.

The sad sobbing and stuff can happen when it's a tragic death or unexpected. (ie: PS, JD, etc.)

My god you are a complete dumbass. This was tragic and unexpected.

so I cant love anyone who died of an OD? that really crosses off a good chunk of people.

I could tell you something every person who shellshock ever loved did to make them unlovable and unmournable by his rules and leave him with nothing. but I won't, because I'm not a complete crap human being.

Isn't Heroin for the poors?  Maybe a half step up from meth?  If I was a rich celebrity my drug of choice would be cocaine just like Ms. Houston.

Tragic? No. What's tragic is the fact that the guy chose shooting up black tar over being around as a father/role model/mentor to his children while they grow up.

Unexpected? Absolutely not. How many perfectly healthy smack junkies do you know? Eventually the drugs always win my friend.

He selfishly chose himself over his family and that makes him a crap human being in my book.

Heroin is the new trust fund baby drug, so no, not just for poors anymore

I tend to agree with ShellShock that we should start taking out all these so-called "actors."

I don't know who's initials those are

PS= Payne Stewart, JD= John Denver. (I was getting at people that died in a tragic accident and those two came to mind immediately. I'm sure there are many many others I could have used for an example.)

Yeah how could you not instantly see PS, JD, and think Payne Stewart and John Denver?

First celebrity where I've actually been personally sad they died.

No one is celebrating the fact that he was a heroine junkie, Shellshock, you dumbass.  We're not even celebrating him as a person, really.  We're saying that he was a great actor and that we really enjoyed his movies and now that he's dead we can't say "boy i'm really excited for ____....yeah Phillip Seymour Hoffman is in it."  You might not think that's a bummer, but then again, your point of references are John Denver and some golfer.
