I like his better jumping ability.

Also, I like how early on in the first half.  Spangler was hand checking him away from the ball and Gip slapped the living crap out of his hand.

Gip had a terrible game.  it is what it is.  maybe he was sick or something.  or just on off night.  who knows.  but, absolutely terrible.  no question.

Whole team had the flu.  They battled through it even though the refs were trying to give OU the game.  Warriors.

Gip got in foul trouble, so what he has been solid all season.

Yeah, its the first game in a while this has happened to him. Fortunately we were bombing threes to make up for him not having a big scoring night.

he just had a bad game.  it is what it is.  foul trouble was part of it.  he was also 2-5 FT, 1-5 FG, 3 TO, 4 Pfs.  I'm sure he'll bounce back against WVU.

But, our front court is so thin, we can't really afford for many games like this out of Gip.  He's too valuable.

This is what I am concerned about. If he gets hurt or has a string of bad games there isn't an option that is really as good as him. He also seems to have good court presence. We played a lot worse without him early this season.

On the MCMW meter (0 thru 10) this is like a .5.

We've got to do better, until we're at something a little more serious, followed by a series of "We'll let the legal system go through the process", or, "He's being disciplined in-house", we're pretty much not there yet.

baby steps, dax. but if he is suspended for any non-exhibition game there is no hope for us.
