No to pit this thread up but this reminds me of one of my family members. For years has had a habit of sending out mass emails about political stuff.  A few years ago during Covid / 2020 Election Cycle, I explicitly asked her to stop this and she was like "I'm sorry I will stop emailing you and I don't want this to damage our relationship."  A few months later, the emails started again. I think she believes that the stuff she is sending out is vital for everyone to see but it is absolutely obnoxious and very personal when you have clearly asked someone to stop doing something and they continue. I mean, I have other family members that I disagree with about politics/religion/etc and I think we can feel out when things are going off the rails and redirect to topics like weather and sports but this person just has no concept of this.

this is exactly how i’ve felt since wednesday morning.  all throughout the last few months, I convinced myself that the better part of the collective “us” would come out on november 5th.

what i’m coming to terms with, is that this is exactly who we are.  it’s a little sad, but i’m not worried about it because I know who I am and it’s not that.
