Honestly, not really.  It's hard to say that with a straight face; I mean, it's Kansas State and LHC Bill Snyder.  How about we jus beat them, beat them real good.

Shane Morris - 3 Ints, 2 tds, 296 Passing Yards, 32 Rushing Yards.  The last TD pass is with 4 to go to seal the game.

Team Rushing Yards - ~160, mostly by Fitz as he'll bust a bigger one but Derrick Green gets the bulk of the carries.

I tried to find
the video, but couldn't...one of my best memories of K State (not that I think of them often) is when they took a safety by snapping the ball out of the end zone...because the punter wasn't on the field!!!

Shane looks very comfotable.  Its kind of strange.  Both Denard and Devin -- as good as they were -- always had me holding my breath.  I don't feel that way as much with Shane.  Famous last words I know.

This is not a great offense, but they do have good balance and can run, throw, and scramble with the QB.  So, they will get yards unless we can stop them on first down consistently.  Morris looks good so far, mostly due to...wait for it...good play calling by Borges.  But, he'll have to complete some passes to win this for us because I don't see us shutting down their offense all game.

I read somewhere that K State's recruiting classes the last 5 years havve aaveraged being ranked 70th, they are usually in the 60s and had the 93rd ranked class a few years ago.

i do have a question for some folks who normally attend games. KSU fans seemed a lot more organized. After ever score they cheer Ksu offense, ksu offense, ksuuuuuuuu offense and things like that but honestly the only cheering i ever heard from Michigan fans where the generic Defense chant and once a Let's go Blue. Is that normal? i need to know this stuff because my next game will be at the Big House. i need to see how Home fans get down at games.

I took my gf to the game, it was her first michigan game ever and my first in almost a decade.  I was blown away by the KSU fans and their excitment levels.  It was almost embarrassing how quiet the michigan side was.  I was in a neutral fan area and the UM fans around me were far more hyped up than anything I saw or heard from the 'michigan side'.  I know it was a rough game to watch, but man, our fan base is just tired of the last 2 seasons I think.

I was behind the Michigan endzone.  Had a 50/50 mix of fans up there and we were really loud.  But from where we were sitting it was obvious which team's fans were into it.  KSU had so many great cheers and their section never sat down for one minute of the game.  It was just embarassing.

The worst part of going to that game was all the pity from K-State fans that were sitting around us.  Yes, pity.  From K-State fans.  We are a national joke at this point, all our high paid coaches and good recruting classes just to get beat (demolished really) by a team full of JuCo kids recruited to a school with 1/4 the budget Michigan has.  eff, I can't wait for Sept 2014 to come.

KSU would be far more into the game—both players and fans—than Michigan, because of the nature of the two programs. They don't view themselves as being at the apex of college football— nor does anybody else—and having never played the mighty Michigan Wolverines, they were undoubtedly pretty excited at the opportunity to prove they could play with the big boys.

By contrast, neither the Michigan football program or their fans viewed playing a non-power in a minor bowl named after a greasy fried chicken product as anything more than a vast disappointment, and our players played exactly like that was the case.

was a nuisance.  They went beyond the obnoxiousness of ohio or southern cal bands.

The played/cheered between every Michigan play on offense.  It was loud even in row 37 upstairs.
they often played past the offense being set.
On the last drive, they played "Happy trails" and merely turned down the volume during the Michigan plays, for the double insult.
Apart from those bits of dickishness, they had more songs and more spirit and energy than our band.   We grew tired of hearing the Victors for the umpteenth time without corresponding scores to celebrate.

Overall, it was like the whole KSU universe was excited to be there.

The worst part living in Kansas City today is the pity of it all.  Pity from Kansas State fans.  As much as I have enjoyed singing "IT'S GREAT TO BE A MICHIGAN WOLVERINE!" after beating ND in UTL I and UTL II this is just a sad day to be a Wolverine.  I am ready to see 2013 in the rear view mirror

Crap, I've been saying "K S U Wildcats" all these years.  Makes total sense now to know it's actually "K S U OFFENSE" considering we like to do that chant after a scoring play.  Jeez FML mods please merge with the Shame Yourself thread if necessary.

I always get a good laugh when people say, "prove they could play with the big boys"

I mean lordy, we've been in a major conference for nearly a century, playing Nebraska and OU (and admittedly getting beat most of the time until Snyder came along and at least made many of those games more interesting, and even won a few.  Really not much difference from the Big 10 where it was OSU and Mich and then everybody else for decades) and then Texas, and to a lessor extent Missouri, Colorado, Okie Lite etc. etc.

The Big 12 has the second highest avg coaches pay in major college football, and collectively has invested more into football infrastructure over the last 15 years than just about any other conference in the country.
