Michigan to shut down football program if they lose to KSU. Will officially become hockey school.

seems like that would be going overboard - they have a decent tradition + there's not any money in D1 hockey programs. but i trust your post.

No, but we're in the middle of super disappointing football/basketball seasons and MSU/OSU are both in BCS games and ranked in the top 5 in BBall.

Nothing would surprise me at this point.
