Still in recovery mode from shoulder surgery last month. Really sucks to stand on the sidelines and watch the gf do all these 5k's and trail runs. Can't wait to be able to hit the trails again.

Umm, if you're running on your shoulders you're doing it wrong.  :dunno:

Need a ruling from the Churn/Bonkers Czar.

Ran 13.1 high-churnin' miles this morning and a nap full of bonkers is in my future.

However, can I double down and also get a full night of bonkers tonight?

Had a meeting in Parkersburg last week. As I drove on 64 and 77, I was imaging all the great trail running in the area. Must be some outstanding routes.

Man, I can't imagine that meeting was any fun. Haha. You're right though, the trails here are great. We run in the Barboursville area, closer to Huntington. I can run different routes every day of the week and not cross the same path. It's wonderful.

Sorry, just getting to this because I TOO WAS IN WEST VIRGINIA YESTERDAY AND WAS REMARKING ON ALL THE PROBABLY GREAT TRAILS. Charles Town/Harpers Ferry area. How bonkers was the sleep?

Man, SB.  I think we need to develop some kind of bonkers rating system.  I'm thinking levels like "completely" and "utterly" on the lower end, but am struggling with the upper end levels.

It was definitely at the upper end of bonkers, though. Bought a growler from the local liquor store, which may be considered performance-enhancing by the bonkers governing bodies.

Been really getting after it lately, guys.  Don't know what this bonkers/churn stuff is, but I'm on board.

Finished my first ever half marathon on Sunday. Man, it feels good.

Nice Shocks.  What's the immediate post-race response?  Another, full, never again?

chum1, did you trip over a root on one of those beautiful West Virginia trails discussed in prior posts?

Like, "oh my gosh, this is soooo beautiful" and then WHAM, tree root?

Thank you. The Mrs. and myself will do other halfs. Possibly the LHC Bill Snyder, but I think 13.1 is as far as I'll go.

chum is wheeling on beefier gams than i anticipated from a distance running enthusiast. Good looking blood. Very human color and solid clotting response.
