How's the running this Fall? Love me some cold weather running. Darkness sucks though. I'm maintaining 15-20 miles a week and lifting twice a week. Mileage ramp starts Dec 1 for April marathon. KDF Marathon in Louisville.

Anyone signed up for a Turkey day race?  I'm running a 5k... just enough to feel like I burned a few calories before gorging myself.

Nothing official for me @tdaver. I'll be making my usual six mile park loop.

Just ran the 2nd annual Copper Bowl 21st anniversary/BWW 2nd annual SkinnyBenny half-marathon. Ran around GreenLake in Seattle. Amazing.

I ran a half marathon in October and spent the past two months getting fat and out of shape. Trying to run 4-5 times per week again now and it's pretty rough going.

I love Altra shoes. Rotating three pair right now for marathon training.

started running again about a month ago after pretty much a year of inactivity.  Pacing 10.5 min/mile on the 9 mile runs i've done every monday since then.  Feels like hell but happy with the results.  Now if I can only stay running this time.

I'm thinking so. I think we're 18 weeks from the first week of May now. Any spring races for you?

This is my first pair.  Very popular here.  Love the big toe box.  If these work out, I will probably switch my roadies to Altra as well after current Brooks wear out.  What are you running in?  I tried on a pair of Instincts a few days back that felt pretty nice.

Provision, Instinct 1.5, and Instinct 1.0. My next pair will be the Instinct 2.0. I agree on the toebox. So much room.

I ran a half in November and did about the same. Didn't run again for almost three weeks. Back at it now. It was rough to get started, but it feels good again.

Who got out this morning? Seven miles to start the year for me.  Looking good for a marathon PR in April.

I saw a ton of new year resolutioners out. I feel guilty, so I'll probably hit the treadmill later.

Ran 5 miles in my new shoes this afternoon.  Liked the roomy fit.  Hard to judge cushioning/support in snow with microspikes but felt fine.

Also, I think I have found the perfect recovery drink...  Eggnog!

Registered for my second marathon. It's in two weeks. Haven't really been training all that much. :frown:
