Any sleep teeth grinders out there?
« on: December 10, 2013, 11:25:50 AM »
I sleep really hard some nights. To the point where I'll be in an intense dream and my jaw will feel like it's locked and my teeth grind a lot. I've never really thought much of it, until I woke up this morning, and woke up to a part of my tooth falling out of my mouth. It was small, but still, WTF? Is this common?

Parts of your teeth break off?  Gross.

i think 90%+ of women would agree that mouthguard kisses are sexier than barfing shattered tooth shards in their mouths

I think it's your nutrition too.  Your teeth shouldn't do that from grinding.  Slowly wear away, yes, but not pieces.

Friend of my wife told me that she does this.  Has shattered more than one and also has caused slight nerve damage in her jaw(all according to her dentist and oral surgeon).  Uses mouth guard and all stopped.

She has bad nutrition.  Probably the osteoporosis.

It's weird to think I have bad nutrition when I've never had a cavity, have straight teeth, they're white, and brush daily. I mean, it's possible though.

Yep, all it took was a little pressure and your teeth are cracking like egg shells.  WackyCat?  More like GlassToothCat if you ask me.

The grinding of the teeth is likely due to stress or anxiety.  Probably due to leading a double life or being really dishonest with someone.  Repent and get a mouth piece.

Maybe you just need to switch to more enamel protecting toothpaste, try this and see if it helps.

Occlusal guard. Tell your dentist you grind your teeth and dobber said that you needed an occlusal guard. Also, get your girlfriend one.

NOT FOR THAT REASON!!!! She is spending her time with Wacky and will likely lead to lots of stress and anxiety. Get your minds out of the gutter goEMAW.

my wife just got one.  like $500 for this little plastic/rubber piece of crap. :dubious:

my 3 year old daughter grinds her teeth so hard I can hear her through her closed door when I'm in the living room watching tv.  :sdeek:
