It will be unbelievable how much of a difference KU's defense will have sans Aldrich in the paint.  They have no one on the roster that can bring that kind of presense (and don't give me Withey) and of all KU's players, Aldrich was the key reason KU swept Kansas State last year.  KU will still be very good (Top 20 type team), but losing 3 players the caliber of Collins, Aldrich and Henry will hurt.  Now it will be up to Frank and company to take advantage of the opportunity.

Word around campus is that Henry is coming back, but I'll believe it when I see it.

Henry is long gone.  Word on campus is wrong.

How about word on campus about the football team?  C'mon, I started a thread for your reports.  If you ever want us to star a rebel ku bbs and let you run it you have to show some initiative!

What did that Blinn linebacker do to get the boot?  I heard he only put a quarter in the collection plate but my sources can be wrong.

No.... there were a couple reports on the boards and around Lawrence that Henry is coming back.

would not surprise me. Self did  a good job of turning him into a completely one dimensional player this year.

It's funny when you guys try to talk hoops, and then realize that you know absolutely nothing about the actual sport.

What did Self do to turn him into a one-dimensional player?

What he does well: Shoot wide open jump shots.....

Everything else is pretty average

Henry was essentially one demonsional for most of the year, but did start taking the ball to the hoop late in the year.  The tendency he had to disappear when ku needed him most didn't help his draft stock.

Kinda like you with fball ?

Tough year to be a ku mommy, fan

Year of destiny in fball was a total abortion, and then the #1 seed in bball gets bounced out first weekend of the tourney

Now onto fball season, where the big 12 gets to sit back and watch the racial experiment (Rev. Gill) go 1-7 in the big12

BTW ben, your jew AD might finally be meeting his maker soon, what a crooked bastard

I don't know, maybe he should have coached him to do something more.  You know, help him improve the weaker areas of his game to make him a better overall player.  Like mentioned above, he did do a better job of taking the ball to the basket near the end of the season.  However, there wasn't a great deal of improvement throughout the year.

Maybe its Self, or it could be that Xavier isn't very coachable.  I don't know enough about him to be sure of that opinion, but it could be a possibility.  Your thoughts?

C'mon dummie.  Everyone saw X regress from the best physical speciman and driving guard on the court (no matter who ku pkayed) to a single skill player only hucking up unguarded 3s and then being pulled because Self wanted to keep him in Lawrence.  Mario Little says "thanks for nothing, coach Self"

Show some basketball IQ or go over to the football thread, where you can discuss KU's second team winning the North.

why do i get the feeling that ben/ukans fans would be defending their season the same way if the outcomes for K-State and ukans were reversed?

and on X, i dont think i care if he stays or not.  he was really underwhelming.   if him staying meant selby didnt come then all the better too. plus continues the precedent for self ruining 1 and dones.
