I cant Imagine Marshall + Sams at QB

Once Malzahn was hired at Auburn in early December it was going to be tough to get him because Malzahn had been recruiting him hard at Arkansas State. Before that we were probably at the top of his list and maybe if his JUCO's "bowl game" didn't conflict with his original visit date (when we beat Texas to win the Big 12) things would have been different. He then had to delay his visit to K-State until December 14th, then Malzahn was hired December 4th and recruited him hard at Auburn. At that point I think we knew we had Waters and Marshall became a huge question mark, so we went with Waters.

Once he got recruited by an SEC school much closer to home, yeah. I think we had a great chance and he was our priority until Malzahn was hired.

no, we wanted him. he didn't want us.

He would've played less, probably much less.

marshall seems like an exception to our recent head scratching misses w/key jucos. he chose a school because it was close to home and had an attractive scheme/coach/depth chart. good for him. a stark contrast from choosing to sit on charlie weis' bench only to get kicked off the team or going to play for known psychotics on crap teams.
