I mean, holy crap what a gift for a christmas party. I'd maybe go bigger, like say the Azores or Bali or Moscow or something.

If it's just domestic US, go to New York. (Christmas in New York!)

Ours is pretty wild.  Start boozing in the office around 8:30 then the open bar starts at 11.  Lasts till 4 or so and then they throw down a huge tab at a local bar till it's runs out.  By the time me and my work bros are looking for an after party spot around dinner time we are already smashed.

Anybody else ever have the opportunity to go to one of Heritage's Christmas parties? (T-Star, Hibatchi Hut, Harry's combined. At the Warham with live music, free alcohol, and herb around every corner. Best ever. People used to beg to be an 'and one' to that thing.

Any Aggieville bar's Christmas party is amazing. When a few of them are combined, oh boy.

Not sure why that's an eyebrow raising choice, but I named other places, too. Paris seems like a place where you could get in and out pretty quickly - I'm guessing they can't just take a week off work on short notice and a place like the Azores or Bali would take at least a full day to travel each way.

i like free alcohol.  but i'm always half-pissed that they didn't take the money they spent on the party and split it out amongst the employees and also a little worried i'll get ridiculously drunk and fired.  so i don't enjoy them very much.

had a company picnic where this guy got plastered off free bud heavy, passed out on a picnic table and pissed himself.  his son, who also worked there and was plastered as well, grabbed as many cans from the cooler as he could carry, woke his dad up and told him it was time to leave, got into his truck drove them an hour home.  :sdeek:

nobody was fired, but it was made known that they weren't invited to the next picnic.

Didn't see the US restriction, San Diego to watch some cats/chiefs is probably the way to go.

she works for a marketing company that does all the business for a prominent airline and a few prominent hotel chains. so my fiancee just needs to tell her clients when/where we want to go and they'll book it all for us. max two nights, must be domestic. and we have to give a "presentation" about our trip to the ceo when we get back. small price to pay.

looks like I'll have her convinced to head to San Diego for the holiday bowl. (even though she's a nubb  :barf: )

I have a feeling that the people who dont want to go/ cant have fun at office holiday parties are the same people who dont want to go/ cant have fun at HS reunions.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

i mean, by my calculations, they could give everyone about $700 or so instead of the party.  it's infuriating.

They don't have to pay income taxes on the holiday party, so ~$500. but yeah.

Not true, holiday parties are great.
