What's the word on Rico Richardson? Any good? Got an email that said we've offered him. Chicago PG, but transfered there from Highland Park.

I don't believe we've really offered.  Someone on the board (swish1?) hates him as a human being.  Supposedly he can shoot lights out ( )

surprised i caught this.  hopefully moving to chicago helped him out, but moving back to kansas would probably negate that and he'd end up back in jail.  but, mcmw...  also think hes a 2 guard in a very small PG body...

Just asked Shane... gave me a simple reply "no".

But how in hell were we to know that until we asked him on facebook?

Just asked Shane... gave me a simple reply "no".

Please ask him where he is planning to live next year along with what time his first class will be and how long he will be away from the house.  Also ask if he has any guns or an intruder alarm, and ask what kind of car he'll drive, where he plans to park and whether he prefers Jimmy John's or Quizno's.

That should be enough to totally freak him out.

Does Devon Peterson have PG skills?

Is there a snowball's chance in hell he qualifies?

Well, if he's not currently qualified then no.  Because he's not going to school right now.  From what I can tell he spends his time playing 2k10, making big plates of breakfast featuring pancakes, watching basketball, looking at pronhub and talking to people about liking money.

Pretty sure he's been going to school.

I'm guessing he wasn't typing a paper last week for his health.

Didn't see the paper tweet.  Love the tweets he posts at 1PM showing the delicious breakfast he's eating though.

Love his Maury updates even more.

Thought Frank has said in the past he wants something similar to Roy's teams...two players on the court who can handle the ball.  Maybe Southwell becomes that guy in a point forward role?  Can he really be that much more limited offensively than Dom?

Ballplayers said Southwell to RS on the other board.

Anyone find it interesting that when asked about PG for next year Frank mentioned Sprads THEN Russell/Irving.  Prolly reading more into that comment than I should.

i don't think you're reading more into it than you should.  spradling may or may not be a multi-year starter at point.  russell and irving definitely won't be.

He had high hopes for Nick.  Not making me more comfy.

Big difference is Russell was clearly a fallback.  Spradling seemed like more of a priority.  He was offered really early (Irving is the only similar '10 player I remember us chasing).  Russell wasn't offered until after Burks picked CU.

Great point.  They must see some things in Sprads they really like.

If you look at the current canidates (other than Jake) to fill minutes at the guard spot, Spradling is the best option offensively.  Of course, Frank never plays the best offensive option over the best defensive option.

True, but Spradling will probably play smart defense (because he's white).
