I HAVE SO MANY OPINIONS THAT I HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO RESPOND TO!!!
1. Home Alone 2 is way funnier, but I understand if you like the first one better for nostalgia's sake. Watch them back to back (like I do once a year) and tell me the 2nd isn't funnier. Although now that I think about it, I've always had more alcohol in my system when I watch the second.......
2. It's a Wonderful Life is absolutely awful. Jimmy Stewart is the most annoying actor of all time. His voice is nails on a chalkboard, but like a thousand times worse. He ruined Vertigo for me. Do you understand how sad that makes me? Vertigo is an AFI top ten movie, and by Alfred Hitchcock, and I hate it because of that bastard. And you know what else? The only reason It's a Wonderful Life is ever on TV is because no one ever cared about it ever. EVER. People cared about it so little that the producers of the movie let the rights go past the date they had it for (20 years after it was in theaters), and a TV station somehow found it and thought, "Sweet, free Christmas themed movie! Let's play it around the holidays!" and then everyone saw it and it was in black and white so they assumed it was a classic but no, it wasn't, it was a terrible forgotten movie. (just double checked this, it wasn't completely free, the TV station had to pay copyright fees to the writer of the story it is based on, "The Greatest Gift".)
3. Die Hard is incredible. In terms of pure action movie, I'd put it behind only Kick-Ass.
4. Christmas Vacation is very, very funny. I did not see it until only a couple years ago, and was pleasantly surprised by how well the comedy held up over the years. Better than the Home Alone series? Never in a million years. But I could see how I would feel differently if I had seen Christmas Vacation at some point in my childhood.
5. I love the Nightmare Before Christmas. Very unique, creative and fun. I have absolutely no idea how to rank it because it's such a bizarre movie.
6. Can't believe I'm the first person to vote for Home Alone 2. Can't wait for Scary Smart to come team up with me on this issue.
