I'm surprised at the number of people still in denial over just how bad this team is.  0-3 with one loss by less than 15 (moral victory)

Yup. Head and heart in agreement.

0-3 is now impossible.  sorry 0-3ers.

"good" was in quotation marks, even though i wasn't quoting anyone.

starting to extrapolate, but if we beat tulane and gw, what's it gonna take in confy to make the tourney? not crazy to think that 9-9 (19-12 overall) would make the dance since we''re in the #1 rpi conference, is it?

No its not. And I think the committee would like that the team got better as the year progressed.

I think 9-9 would require some work in the B12 tourney, barring a win against KU or OSU.  19-12 can possibly get a team in but no team can feel good about their chances at 19-12.

GW could be the toughest game of the 3. Ole Miss and Gonzaga both had pretty good crowds for our guys to play in front of. There may be < 3,000 people at the game on Dec 31 at 2pm...

We played a NYE game against Hampton a couple of years ago and it was sold out and very loud.

I was preparing to rebut this post then I did a little research. Last season Iowa was .500 in the Big 10, the #1 conference last season, they had 5 top 50 wins and a win in the Big 10 conference; they were 21-12 and winners of their last 7 of 10 and they were left home.

Got this stuff from warrennolan.com btw a great cbb reference site.

I would think it would depend who the nine wins are against. A win against OSU or KU would probably get us in at 9-9. A road win against either would be huge, not that that is going to happen.
But if we get swept by KU, OSU and flood aggies, there's now way we finish 9-9. Cats will probably beat someone they shouldn't on the road (OU, Texas, Baylor) but will likely get upended by someone at home, too. Too many freshmen to be consistent.

This team will probably beat KU in Allen or some stupid crap like that.

I thought we played Tulane in BKN?   GW is NYE in the Bram and anyone that bets on the road team on NYE is a tard.

I would imagine that Townie predicting a 3000 person turn out for our home game one NYE.

i was at the game, but rewatched it anyways (stud fan) and the announcers made a good point that since Gip didn't play because of "injury" against Northern Colorado the committee would factor that into their decision.

The last time we had <3000 for a home game we played at Nichols Hall.  What a tard

1-2

It's fun when oscar proves me wrong.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.
