Beasley was the closest thing to a Heisman, K-State has had. His K-State teams had every bit as much success as Klein's except he won a bowl game. And oh yeah. He managed to get drafted and make an NFL roster.

What did Klein do that Bishop didn't?

The eff?

What exactly do you take issue with from that statement?

Beasley didn't even get votes, bishop was the runner up in 98?  Maybe you were talking about bishop?

Am I living in some bizzarro world cause I could swear CK was the closest to a Heisman we've had.

Klein and it shouldn't be close.

:dubious:  Beasley was pretty damn good dude.   I'm fine with you saying CK was better but no way was he that much better.  Did you see Beas in the Holiday Bowl?!

Did you see Klein in every game he played?

Yeah, I did.

Quote
Beasley was a two-year starter at Kansas State, compiling a 132.7 pass efficiency rating in 2000, the top mark in school history to that point. He threw for over 30 touchdowns in his career and finished with 4,642 career passing yards. He holds the school record for most yards per completion for a game (23.9), season (20.1) and career (17.9) while also compiling a 21-4 record in two seasons as the Wildcat starting quarterback. He led K-State to the 2000 Big 12 Championship Game appearance against Oklahoma as a senior.

Any "best ever" discussion surrounding KSU QBs that involves Beasley and not Bish is pretty suspect.  Also, Klein was better than Beasley.  That's not to say that Beasley wasn't a very good K-State QB.

Klein, but Beasley was pretty good*.

*QBR is something from ESPN and only goes back to 2004. Big 12 numbers here: http://espn.go.com/ncf/qbr/_/group/4.

I guess I should have explained this chart; it shows top 10 QB seasons at K-State for a bunch of different categories.

Enjoy.

Both quarterbacks show well on the charts. A big reason this was a top 20 offense and probably Snyder's 3rd/4th best.

The key problems with this team not winning more games was turnovers and defensive issues on 3rd down.

Who was the better QB? Had a two hour argument with the fam this weekend that looks like it is going to spill into Christmas. Uncle said Klein wasn't in his top 5 LHC Bill Snyder qb's and Beasley was way better. Both agree bish is the best. Sorry ERII

Also said Harper isn't a top 15 WR for ksu. That's when I lost it!

I just said in the post you quoted that Klein is better than Beasley.  I'd be interested to hear your uncle's top 5 Snyder QBs. I'd assume Beasley, Bish, Roberson, May, and then...???

Your uncle is an idiot is what I'm saying here.

The numbers speak pretty loud for Klein. And if your uncle really thinks Klein isn't even top 5 he has major issues. JMHO.

It's not even an argument between Beasley and Klein. Klein. I have no idea how that's even a "two hour argument."

No doubt, but it's not exactly a slap in the face to say Klein is better. I loved Beasley.

His main argument. Only lost 3 times as a starter and two of those were to the national champs in 2000.

call me scottfence because I don't know who I would give the nod to, but it is absurd of anyone to say it isn't even an argument between the two.

Both good. Probably not in the top five conversation. Not far off though.
