This is incorrect, but fun to scare the chilluns with. That noise you hear is actually pressurized steam that builds between the flesh and the hard carapace of the lobster. As the pressure releases, it makes a high pitched noise, not unlike a teapot when the water is ready.
I myself follow a mostly vegan diet, but not for any dumb reasons such as morality. A plant based diet is nutritionally sound, though it is difficult to replicate the protein-dense nature of animal flesh. It was certainly necessary in past ages, and indeed is partially responsible for our superior brains. I eat meat from time to time, but these days I'm mostly team #MicroNutrients.
