when ESPN was the only one doing Thursday night games and you got a nationwide spot running unopposed, it was a good idea.  now ESPN and FS1 both do Thursday night college games with the NFL running Thursday games every week as well.  and you sacrifice your crowd rowdiness (crowdiness?) and throw off your team's schedule.  also takes away any chance at Gameday.  Thursday night games are dumb.
