I'm not going to blame true freshman in light of the utter lack of offensive production from upper classman.

Plus, you appear to have completely forgotten that what is supposedly our "best" big man sat the first two games, and fouled out in 8 minutes today.

So yeah, I'm looking straight at the Jr/Sr classes and pointing the finger.

Probably why you go out and get a guy taller than 6'4"

Has anyone else just accepted their fate and moved on? I really don't even care whose fault it is at this point. It is what it is. Meh.

Im not saying the jr/sr class doesnt deserve the blame but so does going 1-8 and 5-24 as well when you are our best player

I am all for blaming Frank entirely for this year and giving all the credit for oscar for last year.  I think those are consistent thought patterns.  It wasn’t oscar’s fault he was given a 2nd Team All Big 12 point guard and a 1st Team All Big 12 Wing, just like it’s not his fault he has Nino and Omari and Sprads.  At the end of the day, it’s not oscar’s fault.

Did gip have extreme foul control issues his first two yrs, or are they just appearing this yr?

Also, it needs to be noted that being a sr doesn't mean you should out shoot frosh. It means that you should have found the role you are able to succeed in and be filling that role.  Shane and sprads roles have never been primary creators.  They have both always been opportunistic players.  Shane did great last yr, but it was because he wasn't the focus and angel caused holes in the d that shane fit well into.  Ppl want will to be a shooting guard.  He isn't skilled enough.  Will should be this yrs Energy player. He isn't a pg and he isn't a 2.  None of this should be a surprise.

The vast majority of shots both Shane and Will have taken this year have had very little to do with creating.   Shane is maybe trying to take it to the hoop a little more, but the majority of the shots they're taking look almost exactly like the majority of shots they took last year.

i think it's entirely possible and as a result they are playing too tight and not free.
[/quote]

Not just seniors.  He yells so much at practice and in games that none of his players ever play free.  We saw multiple players crying on the sidelines during games during the course of his tenure at Illinois.  At Illinois they typically would play well until the 20th or so of December and by that time they were so tired of him they started to block him out.  His coaching style is antiquated and he does not relate to today's youth at all.  It's going to get worse for you guys...significantly...before it gets better.

Link?  Also, the part I mentioned about finding the appropriate role....do you really think shane should be a big?

Also, also, my comment basically also says will shouldn't be shooting.

I would prefer he be a big exactly like he was last year.

Why?

Matching up with the other teams 4 is his best matchup. Really, it's the only time he'll probably have a favorable matchup.

oscar Weber's last 5 games: Losses to LaSalle, Northern Colorado, and Charlotte. Two wins vs ORU and LBSU.

What a rough ridin' joke.

I don't get this board, what a bunch of pussies.

You all want act like you're so elite in terms of knowing the game and yet many of you act shocked and horrified that a team with a senior class of Will Spradling, Omari Lawrence and Shane Southwell, and with its best (sadly) big man sitting for the first two game and playing 8 minutes today was going to be good.

Ya know, you can blame Weber for ArT all day long, but it's bullshit.    ArT basically took all the love you heaped upon him and said f_ck you guys, I'm outta here.

Oh, but Weber's first recruiting class sucked.  But then when it's brought up that Frank had multiple $hitty recruiting classes on top of the Franking's (which subsequently gave us Omari Lawrence, Will Spradling and Shane Southwell) you immediately pop in with, "well, ya know, at a school like K-State you're going to have some bad recruiting classes."    I'm only waiting on somebody to bring up Robert "Knee Problems, 3.1 ppg, and genuine pain in the ass" Upshaw aka Lessor Wally Judge aka TNF (The Next Franking).

Plenty to stay tuned for, despite it being bumpy.

If Weber hasn't reversed the trend in solid fashion as this season progresses into next year, than fire his ass.

Then you guys can browse on over to NextCoachJizz.com and fap it all day long over the next coach who isn't coming to K-State.

Pretty sure that the product is all anyone cares about.  Not keeping your best player and the only guy taller than 6'-8" on your team both dramatically hurt the product.  WGAF about anything beyond that?  I could care less what Angel thought about me, this site, or KSU in general.  I just want him on the floor for us.  Losing him immediately upon hiring oscar would be understandable.  However, losing him a yr later after winning the conf is insane.

Insane.

Insane.  Manage your program, oscar.

That's the place to start. And can we agree that when the school had a coaching opening, it could have done a lot better than oscar rough ridin' Weber (and that has nothing to do with Frank).
