Can someone explain to me why we never run screens or shorter routes when it's obvious that OU is blitzing seven on third down?

I am much more concerned about Knight as OU’s QB as I believe OU (w/ a week to prep w/ Knight) will choose to try to run on us – I think they can be successful doing so.  For some reason, no one (except NDSt and UT, and OSU?) has really tried to run on us – therefore inflating our rush numbers.  We are not very good against the run and with Zimmerman out, I don’t think that helps. 

On offense, I think OU will blitz us (I would do it on 1st down to get us behind) regardless of who the QB is as I think Mike will have learned from last year (and maybe popped in tape from the last game in Manhattan).  Our line doesn’t do well against the blitz and/or stunts and neither does Jake.  Sams will have to punish them for run blitzing.

Bill has to like the way bob's ass tastes.  That is the only explanation for how awful we look against ou, sans 2 games.
