hey we just barely/maybe got it into field goal range so lets shut down the offense and run and then run again with waters in and then jump and now we have a 3rd and 14.

yeah. i don't have a huge issue with the draw plays. i think Snydes was trying to trick them.

we have done this all year tho, not just this particular drive. anytime we get within the 35 we go into settle for FG mode. it's maddening.

I was pacing around the living room cursing him for not bringing in Sams. 5 seconds later I was on my knees thanking the offensive line and TLBL.

obviously. the question is whether that is/was the right call in that situation. i mean jesus. can't we have a discussion about it regardless of the outcome. "lots of dumbstuff but hey we won". "hey i'll take the win lol". "it was the right call cause cantele".

i mean i think it was dumb as eff and was painful to watch. i also knew they were going to do it right when they got there and refuse to be ok w/ it just because cantele nailed that sob.

you're mischaracterizing my comment. i'm genuinely not sure why he did it - and if he really was trying to take the air out of the ball i think it's really stupid.

at the time, i thought it wasn't a terrible idea to see if he could get some cheap yards catching TCU sleeping with a draw play because they'd be back in coverage.

it was absolutely atrocious. Could have been a 25 yd fg or even a TD the way Waters was moving us. Gotta give it up to Jake. He bailed us out with the 3rd down pass to TLBL.

I was ok with the run on first down but I'm not sure what that second down play was. Should have thrown it down the line to Lockett or something.

As bad as the end of the game was, the end of the first half was worse. I mean...

And at the end of the game, lots of coaches would have ley the clock run down to 4-5 seconds and called timeout. But honestly, Snyder has rarely been in the situation to kick a game winning FG, so maybe that was part of it.

Glad we won though.

He was trying to run the clock out. Pretty sure he said "Jake, take the snap and don't let the ball leave your hands, pass or fumble." Didn't help that the Oline crap their pants on the exact same play but it worked.

yeah, the first half was horrible too. i'm also glad we won but the play calling in the last sixty seconds of each half? woofity woof woof.

On the 2nd down before the field goal, wouldn't a play action to the end zone have blown their minds? Risky I know but.....
