Will helps much more playing off the ball.

_FAN, how many minutes do you think Will is going to get once Jevon is eligible?
When Jevon because eligible he will push will to the 2.

1. Jevon
2. Will <--- a better position for him (The best thing he does is being a ball mover)
3. Marcus
4. Shane <--- a better position for him
5. Gip

Jevon will mostly like be guarded by the opposing teams best defender.

Yeah. I wish we had another legitimate 3 so foster could stick to the two and Westicles could be our 3. Will should be off the bench with the above others in the line up.

Also, pictorial stats thingy and the play hard chart from @kstatesports!

So the 10 minute mark is when Will came out of the game in the first half, right?

I'm not trying to convince anyone that Will is a great player, but its pretty clear a) he's going to play ~30 MPG and b) he and the team is much better when he's not playing PG.

Current individual ADV stats for the Cats: http://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/pi/shareit/M29q3 (sortable; click the header for each column)

That thing thinks Westicles is the greatest player ever.

To bad he isn't a good jump shooter. Will stats are inflated from late game free throws. .285 eFG%  :sdeek:

Shane didn't have to try to run point for an extended period!

I'd rather have Shane running PG than the other SR.

I think Will is equally terrible off the ball as he is at the point.

Will has been completely shut down with the exception of free throws for two games against extremely low competition.  Anyone believing that he can contribute anything much more than that one walk on, who's name starts with an R that I refuse to learn, is crazy.  Will grew up under a tyrant.  Will started play in college under a tyrant.  Ppl that are used to being functional under a tyrant don't know what to do with themselves when the tyrant is removed.  Especially not one or two years removed.

His career is over.  Unfortunately for all of us, and anyone who holds Purple Cat U dear, he just doesn't know it yet.

Will has been completely shut down

That implies defenses have to actively do something to stop Spradling from scoring.

I meant that he doesn't seem to even try to get a shot.  Everyone wants this guy as our shooting guard but he doesn't even look for baskets.  He some how thinks that if he just dribbles 1/4 of the way in and hooks out and passes it to the first guy on the perimeter that is near him, that he is doing well.  I am all for penetration, but he doesn't hardly think of daring to create anything inside off of said penetration.  Also, anyone we play, basically at any time they want, will be able to keep him from getting penetration.

If I was an opposing team, I would treat Will like some teams treated Dom his last year.  Sag off him half way to the basket and basically play 1 man zone while the other four guys guarded the rest of the team.  I would gladly let Will have at it to try to beat my team while I did my best to control literally everyone else that could possibly be substituted in at any other position for KSU.

you're really trying way too hard.  it's very simple, we're all mad about oscar.  no one on the board is happy.

but you're just coming off like the 4 year old in the high chair at the restaurant screaming his head off with green snot coming out of his nose.  i picture this when i read every one of your posts.  i hope that helps.

He contributed versus Florida last season.  Many a gE face was mushed that night.  You're just begging for him to mush mush mush you right up CNS.  He's going to push into your face solidly with a good depth and then drag his hand down it just a tad above slowly is my guess.

True, he played solid most of the Big 12 last year really.

Will is just the type of player that when he plays well you really don't (or shouldn't) notice him, but when he struggles it stands out. What fans need is games where Will isn't really noticed because he does simple things; solid defense, hits open shots, moves the ball, and gets a few assists. Plus the players around him have to play well because he's not going to carry a team like Rodney or Jake. The problem is he's now a SR and after being pretty much the same player his first 3 years (and not becoming a great shooter) there are expectations for him to be more than that. Regardless, coaches seem trust him immensely (both Frank and oscar) and he's going to play 25-30 minutes per game, to me as a Cat fan that's just the reality of the Will situation.

according to every anti-frankite out there, frank ruined will by looking at him angrily and saying mean things.

so if senior will, after two years of no frank and nothing but oscar, oscar, oscar, is no better than sophomore will under frank then just what in the world does that mean?

shouldn't he blossom under a better coach that doesn't pressure him and makes him feel more comfortable and as a senior?
