The biggest thing that pissed me off about Manhattan, was all the army rats that wanted to pick fights in aggieville. Since it's not Veterans day, I can say this now. I use to call mom and dad up to tell them how awful they were in aggieville and dad would sternly respond: "Don't you talk that way about our men in uniform!"

I don't like to fight.  I don't say things on the internet that I wouldn't say to people face to face.  eff with me all you want...I don't care.  Threaten my wife, kids, family and crap will get real.

Yeah, people that threaten my wife and kid really make me mad.  Like hey that's my wife and kid man.  Happens too often in today's day and age.  Smack me with a white glove if you want or spit on my shoe, but leave my wife and kid out of it.  What are we, wild animals or barbarians or something?  Because that's who does that.

lol

Army Rats are really cool dudes. I played rugby with them and they were never dumbasses to anyone in aggieville that wasn't being a dumbass to them first, and even then, the Army Rats were just there to party it up like the rest of us and would overlook HerrSontag's friend who was trying to be a dumbass.

Yeah... Don't really understand the Ft. Riley guy hate. Not sure they are any worse as a group than the college kids.

I always thought that they were less likely to fight than college students, since the repercussions of them getting busted were likely far greater than what they are for the average college student. I guess it is a great thing to warn new students about when they go to the 'ville, "Look out for the Riley Rats, they are always looking to fight and they come over from gross JC area, so they are really bad people."?  :dunno:
In my day, they would usually laugh at some hot head that was trying to act tough.

The riley rats I've ran into have been some of the most vile, inconsiderate, and disrespectful people in aggieville. Plenty of them think they can do whatever they please since they are military. Sorry pal, I don't really give a eff.

PFC's are the worst.  Can't exactly bust their ass back to basic.  Times probably changed since dobs was in school.  When I was some of them went out looking to fight.

It's absolutely stupid to get into a fight for any reason. I know of two brothers-in-law who were out drinking together and got into shoving match in the parking lot. One shove, one guy falls down, hits his head on the pavement, brain swells, and he's dead less than a week later.

I mean this could have easily happened to our friend Mr. Bread in his situation or any other knucklehead getting in a fight. so eff the thought of jail, you might kill someone because you think they're acting too tough or something. Or you might get knocked down and die. So, don't fight, MiR. for any reason ever, it's never worth it.

I really don't consider brothers-in-law getting into a drunken shoving match to be fighting. If I were to get into a legitimate fight I wouldn't give two shits about the well-being of the person I'm fighting. If I fight someone I'm doing so with the understanding that one of us is going to get hurt. The real deterrent from fighting for me is fear of arrest. I'm not afraid of jail, but an arrest, even without jail would be life-changing for me. I would absolutely lose my job and would be chased out of my profession. Unemployment, divorce, and homelessness stops me from acting on primal urges. If I knew I could fight someone without risk of being arrested I'd do it. I like fighting, I like my comfy life more.

I mean people in non-legitimate fights can die so even you could die in a fight. And that isn't a deterrent at all? I won't even get into your apathy about possibly taking the life of someone else. Sheesh.

If you start the act of fighting as an adult, don't you assume someone could get badly hurt? Why would you fight and then worry about who is getting hurt and to what degree?

If college counts, then yes.  It was a really bad idea and I got in a lot of trouble afterward.  A friend and I got into it with some guys walking home from the bars.  I knocked one of them out.  Not with a punch, I threw him into a van and he hit his head on the bumper.  He was snoring immediately.  The fight ended then.  Everyone was pretty freaked out on account of how unnatural it sounded.  Went back to our dorm and cops were there because some kid was passed out drunk in the middle of the hallway.  The cops stopped us on our way to our room.  One of the cops said as I walked by "Why don't you tell me about that guy you just knocked out?"  I was really drunk and couldn't figure out how the eff he knew that so soon or that we were involved.  In hindsight, I had on a white baseball cap and an orange polo.  I was pretty muscle-bound at the time.  My friend was wearing a maroon shirt and he is black and had cornrow braids at the time.  The two of us together was a pretty easy apb descripto.  Anyway, I got arrested and they charged me with felony aggravated battery.  I had to do two weeks in county jail and 300 public service hours and two years of probation to get it dropped down to a misdemeanor conviction.  I also had to pay several thousand dollars to the other guy's insurance because he had to get a CAT scan or MRI or something plus stitches and of course the ambulance ride.  County jail was a very interesting experience (many stories and really not bad at all except for the food), but the whole situation took almost a year to resolve and it was very stressful with the felony hanging over my head.  I would have gladly let them talk all sorts of crap on me and just walked away had I known what I was in store for.  Being a badass is for dunces.

Important story, bread.

I would not risk my health, financial, or legal status to prove some point to a stranger talking crap.

I would fight lots of people if getting arrested wasn't going to happen. I think people on the internet and irl act out of pocket because there isn't a real credible threat to get beaten up. I have a real issue with people who act like assholes and I feel like its really easy for people to treat others like crap, wouldn't be the case if you were afraid of swallowing your teeth.

I very nearly got into a fight in OKC with some gE elites. These dudes were absolutely looking for trouble and we would have worn them out, but these are the dudes who start fights and then call the cops after they get their asees kicked. I don't need an arrest record.

How much more of a thin skinned neanderthal could you be?  You're basically stating than anyone that is an bad person towards you is in store for an ass kicking (or your 'attempt' at one).  There is no respect or honor in fighting over words or inconsequential actions.  Grow up.

Hey fuckwit, here's a tip. When you read a post try to actually read it and not scan it and then reply with whatever preconceived notion you had in your head. I'm really confused as to how you assessed that I'd fight anyone who was an bad person to me. How in the hell did you miss me saying in the very post you quoted that I didn't fight these guys who were assholes to me and my friends? Not only did I not fight them but I physically stopped a punch that would have put one of those shitheads to sleep. I posted another non-fighting story in this thread where a guy ashed his cigarette head but I didn't fight him.

Don't paraphrase if you have reading and comprehension problems, buddy. My point is that people would be less inclined to be assholes to others if there were a credible threat of retaliation. This really isn't a controversial issue unless you are one of those people who think it is cool to say and do foul crap to people and don't expect retribution.

You're a rough ridin' moron.  Here's your paraphrase fuckwit, "I would fight lots of people if getting arrested wasn't going to happen."  My sincere apologies for not dropping the writing down to your insecure 3rd grade dumbass level, buddy.  I was commenting on your state of mind that "oh I would fight anybody that gave me the stink eye if it wasn't for the cops!"

What a rough ridin' loser.  What adult has used the phrase "beaten up" since high school?

Bruh, why do you keep preaching to me like I'm talking about all of these fights I'm getting in? I could understand if you kept quoting me talking about all of the ass I'm kicking, but I haven't said that like at all. Seems to me you just feel the need to pontificate, stop crying. Bitch.

Nothing to refute I see.  Also, get a rough ridin' dictionary, it's pretty hard to pontificate on how much of an idiot someone is, especially when using simple words so the dumbass can understand.

You have terrible rage issues which need to be addressed.  This isn't first time you've had people notice how unbalanced you are.  We need not go do our past too much, but trying to find out where someone sits so you can fight them in the Bram is terrible and I'm not the only one on here you have threatened with physical violence.  You are the bad person you claim to hate in your stories.  Congrats, you've earned a great rep of going from ad hominem attacks to threats of violence because of your excessively short fuse.  At least I've gone on record about admitting my mistakes about my comments, where as you try and duck responsibility for being out of control with your emotions.

 ugh shut up. Do me a favor this weekend and go out, find a bunch of Riley Rats and call one of them a pussy like you did anonymously to Jacob Pullen. Also wear a name tag that says ednksu and tell us where you will do it at so I can be there  ing my ass off.

I never knew any guys who went out looking to fight.  They were probably there, though.  Did you ever read American Sniper?  Anyway, I'm a brat but I'm not biased.  Those dudes just liked to fight.
