SportsCenter ?@SportsCenter 1h Art Briles has signed a 10-year extension with Baylor, after leading the Bears to their first 8-0 record in school history.

Most of the team is back next year it appears

They lose 7 starters on defense and 6 on offense. Plus there's a pretty good chance that Seastrunk leaves early.

Briles is a really good coach.

Granted, Dreamy will probably end up being fine at Tech, but Briles is also a Texas Tech grad and Tech missed out on the Briles window by 1 year with the Leach mess. I'm sure there are people at Tech that wish they had gotten Briles instead of Tubberville.

Baylor wants it more than Tech does, obviously.

Briles played at Houston for 3 years but transferred to Tech after his parents and aunt died driving to a game to watch him play.  I would guess he considers himself a Houston Cougar more than a Tech Red Raider, but his first college job was at Tech under Leach.

Thanks, that's interesting.
