Urban legend

There is an urban legend that a manatee lives in the lake. The Manhattan Mercury has reported on the legend, and a Facebook group exists for the Tuttle Creek Sea Cow.[5]

interesting tuttle creek factoid #2-popular mid 1990's highschool party places included-goofy, the rocks, red bridge and shelter four. in that order.

i'm not even ready to buy into factoid #1 yet.

i mean, i'm sure to some dork engineer or other hayseed dork calculator guy it makes sense. but to your normal, smart, good dressing and socially adjusted person, they look at the picture below and go "hmmmm. bet they piled a bunch of dirt up and then built a road across it". they would be wrong though. big bridge first and then filled under and around with dirt.

don't know if there is one. but pre-internet rick daris and some buds were out at the lake on fine sunny day many moons ago and decided to stop into the army corps of engineers place right off t'creek blvd. they have a history of the project and photographs and what not and what do you know? a picture of that gd bridge with no dirt under it. minds blown.

sorry daris. as an engineer i have reviewed the photos and it looks like you may be wrong.

I see a dirt mound no road on it.

i think you may have mistook the road over the spillway gates to be the bridge without dirt mound.

To be fair to rd, I can see how the Randolph Bridge could be mistaken for "big bridge first and then filled under and around with dirt" based on the above pic.
