SlimeWarner!

I love it when people make up mean nicknames for things they don't like!

What are some other good ones?

Quick Trip = Quick Rip
Price Chopper = Price Whopper

Oh man. RumorMill's conservative family does this for MHK-area newspapers.

The Manhattan Mockery
The Manhattan Faux Pas (free press. that one is SB's.)
The Topeka Crapital-Urinal
The Kansas City Scar
The Wichita Beagle (SB's young nephew came up with that one.)

Also our Uber driver in KC was complaining about his bill this weekend and he called them Kansas City Plunder and Blight or something weird like that.
"walking around mhk and crying in the rain because of love lost is the absolute purest and best thing in the world.  i hope i fall in love during the next few weeks and get my heart broken and it starts raining just to experience it one last time."   --Dlew12

When one person, for whatever reason, has a chance to lead an exceptional life, he has no right to keep it to himself.

Does she have a case?

At first I thought the case should have been thrown out but when I read how this poor lady was having difficulty holding her hors d’oeuvre plate at a party, well, justice clearly needs to be served in the form of a $127k judgment.

Sadly, I know people like this.  Shocking, yes.  But not out of the realm of possibility.

no matter what happens in that case, I hope she's ostracized from the rest of the family.

Do you think this lady really just sued her nephew or do you think that there is some insurance involved that won't pay up unless the boy is found liable in a court of law? If the birthday party was held at the boy's parents' house, would their home owners insurance cover such an incident?

On another website I saw the jury only deliberated for 25 minutes.  That's outrageous, and in their rush to judgment they are really causing some inconvenience for Auntie Jen  She was probably going to use some of the $127k to hire someone to hold her hors d’oeuvre plates for her.

I saw someone post up the idea that her insurance company basically forced her to file in order to avoid having to pay for the injury herself.  Then she threw in things like "can't hold my hors d'oeuvre plate" to basically lose her case on purpose.

but who knows, probably just a greedy bitch

I dealt with a case of child suing parent for injuries because that's what needed to be done to get mom's insurance company to pay.  Mom wanted to lose that case to get her insurance to pay, because absent insurance, mom was responsible for the bill as child's mom.

The headline and hors d'oevre line sound funny however.
