Man, this is still tough... I hate that he thinks he struggled with his transition to wideout, I'm sure he could've been an integral part of our WR corp this year (and obviously he would've made some big plays in the wildcat). I was at the game at Stilly last year and I remember Sams being the only player jumping up and down and straight up losing his crap when the team walked through the tunnel at the start of the second half. At that point I thought he was gonna be our guy, and I always thought he would be our QB in 2015. Also the concept of Delton redshirting under him was phenomenal... Good luck wherever you end up Daniel, we're gonna miss you and the energy you brought.. You were pure EMAW!!!

Sams shouldn't have to settle. He is a born playmaker that didn't have a role in the upcoming season. He deserves better than occasionally being put on the field as a wr and seeing maybe 10 snaps at wildcat qb. He deserves to be on the field all the time. He wasn't going to get that here. I'm not going to jump to conclusions as to why, because I think the coaching staff should have found a way to use his playmaking skills. But he felt that that wasn't going to happen, so I fully support his leaving for a school that will let Daniel be Daniel. Be electrifying and also make some mistakes. But largely be amazing and a joy and treat to watch. I think Snyder and co are just too conservative to take a chance on immense greatness versus something predictable. Sams is a D1 player, but wasnt going to be able to fully showcase his talents here. I support his decision to move on and can't wait to watch the highlight reels.

still sad. if someone asked me a couple months ago how hard my excitement for the season would nosedive if daniel left I would have said a lot. but it's more.

I felt sad listening to his KMAN interview. I can't think of a time an athlete that was transferring goes on local radio and is honest and forthright about why he was leaving. Usually it's a prepared statement and adios.
