Let's give credit where due and point at the coaches for failing to do what they needed to put Daniel in positions to succeed when he had the chance.
That's the thing...without having any significant game time, he came in and had success without even having the two best receivers. Not whining, (eff it, maybe I am) but last season still seems so strange to me. "Yeah, great, we won our bowl game and we finished strong", but my God, we started horrible, and Sams still didn't get a chance. When he finally did, he had far more success than what Waters did starting out. We have no idea how Sams would have finshed the season. Now, the guy that scored TD's on 4 of his first 8 rushing attempts from scrimmage (or something like that), is gone, so forgive me for being a little sad.
