A southern thing?  Odd that doesn't happen at other Texas schools, or SEC schools, or Florida schools, etc.

Maybe but that one example would seem to be an exception rather than symptomatic of this "southern thing."

I love TCU and think they were  great add.   However, I want to kick wvu out of the conference.  They were an awful add and do not belong.

Who would you add?

UNM. Become the new SWC.

Yes would be amazing! All conferences should not consider, television revenue, program success, attendance, population, or recruiting area possibilities when expanding. rough ridin' amazingly innovative eastcat and not at all surprising coming from you.

UNM is in a metro of 1+ million and would be the sole major program in that state. Covers everything outside of program success that you mentioned.

ETA: Recruiting would also be an improvement over west rough ridin' virginia.

Correct. Why spend your money to see your team beat KU when you can sit in the comfort of your man cave and watch many more interesting games, the outcomes of which are not given? And throw back a few while you're at it?

Their stadium capacity is under 40,000 WVU has a capacity of over 60,000. Pittsburgh metro comes with WVU.

An "empty stadiums" thread probably isn't the place to debate this particular argument. This season, about the only BCS Conference-esque thing ISU does in football is fill a stadium, and they do that pretty well.
