I don't understand all the negativity around here; didn't anybody enjoy this game up the final minutes of the game. I know I did. SAMS IS NOT SUPERMAN, ALTHOU THAT WOULD BE NICE.

no, in this case Zimmerman's mistake directly led to points, while Sams' didn't.

The DB's obviously were burned several times badly, I won't argue with you about that.

But when a quarterback, with the opportunity of forethought and careful contemplation of down, distance, field position, game time, and score, fucks up that bad, it's truly special.

we won a Dr. P last year and we're an average team this year, but that's ok because our heisman finalist left and so did our entire defense. the good news is that i think this team is getting better every week and that we've played our toughest games already.

i bet we win about 7 games this season. not bad!

Point definitely made here. Zimms is a complete badass, our D would be about 2.34x worse without him (if you can imagine that), and yet he still makes horrible mistakes every once in a while.

No, he hasn't. He has made a completely inept, horrible secondary look serviceable for all of the games besides the UT game. Without him this D is exactly 2.34 times worse.

You could not be more wrong, and that is disappointing. I honestly thought you were better than that. Do you realize how many running plays, that were stopped for a couple of yards by Zimms, would have gone for TDs or huge gains without him? Watch the defense play once in a while instead of leaving to grab another Zima.

anyhow, maybe "sucked" was too harsh. but compared to where he's been the last few seasons (which was very very good) he's had a very pedestrian season. seems to have fallen victim to the k-state safety curse.

I think the drop off you are seeing is the Arthur Brown effect. Without him a defense is exactly 3.7 times worse. A safety with complete dog crap corners and linebackers will always look worse than they really are. That is also why Dante Barnett is really a lot better than he has looked so far. He is going to be one of the best we have had by the time he leaves.

The people that think Zimmerman sucks are the same people that thought 2Y sucked, and Zimms is twice the safety that Tysyn was. Apparently these people know more about football than college and NFL coaches combined.
