After throwing 70 yard bombs all game long and running for 9 touchdowns with multiple foot plants, the garbage time will be for working on the dink and dunk game. Sams needs to get the reps in so he can dink and dunk better than Waters.

Is there any evidence that Snyder and Co. know how to be "creative" with a player offensively?I can't think of one situation where he actually used a special package offensively. We used Sproles like an I back more than anything. We had the beautiful Chris Harper for three seasons and all we did with him was have him block guys out if we threw him the ball. I was to young to pay that kind of attention to how we used Frank Murphy, but I have zero confidence this staff has the ability to use a player like Sams in any capacity offensively that isn't stock blocking for Waters option plays or Hubes running out of bounds because he can't make a cut.

Sometimes I don't think BSAC knows as much as he thinks he does. Like, we would have totally owned him at fattyfest.

Newman finished the '02 season with 4 receptions for 98 yards and 1 touchdown.

Pro tip for the board: Don't post random half memories of stuff that didn't happen. "Oh Ell sat the 1st half in the Fiesta Bowl, I remember, I watched it!" etc. You can verify stuff with google.

While K-State's Man of Steel returns as a Thorpe Award candidate at cornerback, he's also the Wildcats' top candidate to return punts and kickoffs. And while he's not listed on the offensive depth chart, wide receivers coach Greg Peterson calls Newman the "X-factor" when boiling down quarterback Marc Dunn potential targets. The possibilities thrill the Salina senior."It's exciting just to flat-out run," Newman said. "At cornerback, you have to backpedal, turn your hips, stop and plant. At receiver, I'm going forward all the time and it helps a lot."
Didn't we run a fake punt to him? Or at least just throw a deep bomb to him to get a PI call?

Man, that was awesome, huh. We may be dating ourselves a bit though!
I remember in 2001 using Sproles and hall in the old school service Academy option w/ Sproles starting at wingback and going in motion and then we'd fake or hand off to Hall and then run the option with Sproles.I think?

It was in the NEZ, no folding chairs that game, just grassy hill.
