Also, why does he think people would be afraid to tell him (to his face) it appears that he needs to give Sams a shot at running the entire offense and not just running the ball?  If given the opportunity I would love to ask those questions of him.  Not that I would get a straight rough ridin' answer.......

So much for the comforting thought that Snyder was a Sams guy all along.

he'd rather lose than admit he was wrong  :frown:

He has always been this way.  It’s depressing.  I’d imagine if he were on the Titanic, he’d only admit the ship was going down after it was underneath the water.  It really takes his team hitting absolute rock bottom for him to make any changes.  Case in point – in ’04 he was basically trying to treat Dylan like Ell.  And had to go 2-3 (with a loss to a horrible KU team) for him to realize that Dylan can’t be used that way.  So we start the OU game (OU was #2 in the nation) by just passing it all over the place – we score (IIRC) 14 or 10 unanswered points  - then Dylan gets sacked and I think fumbles and OU takes it back for a score? Or maybe back down close to a score and puts it in.  And then from that point on Bill gets scared and goes into a shell and we start running the ball more and we just get beat.  So we're 2-4 and then we start Webb against a horrible NU team and drill them.

he likes to say "keep sawing wood" sometimes you have to be able to tell if it's wood or titanium you're trying to cut.

Yeah, and sometimes you have to realize that you are using an old rusty hacksaw with missing teeth when you have a chainsaw just sitting in the garage unused.

Someone who can stay awake for 21 minutes, watch this and tell me who what the question was that prompted that and who asked it.  Also tell me any other funny stuff that happened.

But start at 7:42 where Stud Kurtz makes this come true:

The blowback against Waters on social media — and the call for Sams to see an increased role — was quick and hostile, something Snyder addressed.

“It’s disturbing, and No. 1, I don’t understand it, and No. 2, I’m pretty confident that whatever may have been said in a negative fashion doesn’t represent the support base for this program,” Snyder said. “It is a shame when somebody can just (get on a computer) and do that without making eye contact. Those same people wouldn’t walk into this building and look me in the eye and say that, I’ll tell you that.

“It’s probably (the coaches) more than anything else,” Snyder said when asked why Sams hasn’t been allowed to pass more. “Yes, he can check into pass plays. But he’s going to stay within the offense."

I take from this that, if Sams throws the ball, he won't see the field the rest of this season.

I can't wait until Waters throws 4 picks against Okie State, Snyder will probably throw out a "mom's basement" reference.

Of the 4 most physically talented QBs he has ever had (Bishop, Ell, Klein & Sams are really on different level than the rest) only Bishop wasn't jerked around in his soph season since it was at Blinn.

I guess Snyder is just staying true to what has worked in the past  :dunno:

I've never cared to go in Vanier.  Is it an open facility where you can stroll into Snyder's office and @ his face?  I guess I could take the long way home from KC next week.

Bill's quotes appear to be an open invitation to do just that.  :dunno:

You should just go to twitter and post tweets that you have a problem with. I @ed Waters on Saturday night but it wasn't of the Jake sucks or Jake is a pussy variety, stuff like that should be just ignored as moronic trolling.

I'm not of the thought that student athletes are above criticism.  If you expect thousands and thousands of fans to spend their money to watch and support the players, there should be a reasonable expectation for these same people to have critiques when they are merited. Long story short, if you don't want to deal with criticism go play at a school where people don't care.

Too lazy to post tweets, because I never saw any anyway. Critique is fine, as long as its confined to on field play unless other off field things warrant otherwise.
