Why do people keep saying we are better than WVU? I haven't seen any evidence that this is the case.

WVU just got shutout 37-0 by an average Maryland team and needed a comeback to beat W&M week 1. Be down about our two losses if you want, but we have not looked nearly that bad...

Texas got demolished by a BYU team that lost to Virginia and could do nothing offensively against Utah. West Virginia played OU very close. We lost to an FCS school. Maryland is 4-0 and might actually be pretty decent. We might beat WVU, but right now, I'm just not counting on it.

I can do score comparisons, I saw most of that OU game and what I could stand yesterday, WVU has not shown to be better than KU or ISU. You seem to have a hard time distinguishing what you think we are from what other teams are. No team that loses to anyone 37-0 should be getting any benefit of the doubt.

I don't think they are good at all. We have lost to North Dakota State and an awful Texas team. We have done nothing that I can point to that says we are any better than they are. WVU would have beaten Louisiana Lafayette and UMass, too.

There are some things that I believe Bill can do with the current roster to make us a much better team than we have shown, but he hasn't done anything yet, so maybe I'm wrong, or maybe he just won't make any changes all year. With Waters starting and Sams coming off the bench as a change of pace with absolutely no threat whatsoever to pass, even with 10 in the box, and with Roberts starting at CB, I'm just not convinced we are much better than WVU. We should beat them because we are at home. I wouldn't feel confident if we had to play in Morgantown, though. I wouldn't even feel confident about a game in Ames right now.

the good news is, I think TT made it pretty clear last night with his comments that the players feel the same way we do. I just don't think snyder can continue torpedoing sams and losing games and get away with it. he'll absolutely lose this team.

WVU has given nothing to judgeon but inconsistency. So that should tell you a lot, really. Holgorsen says Childress is his guy now (eff) butgive him another week and Trickett could get some time behind center, or he could even go back to Millard. Having 3 options at QB just confuses the hell out of him. (D)eforest is a garbage human being who can't coach any side of the ball, so our special teams is crap. WVU is like 5 deep at running back and can't even use them properly. Theoffensive line is non-existent, and the D is like Swiss cheese with all those holes.

Ill be going to home games, because I'm no fairweather fan, but it'll be tough. Also, is it bad to just hope for a tie against the Cats? haha.

seems like all the real elites in the big 12 are "taking the year off" as they build towards the natty champy game next season.  plan might bust but hey i'll be happy if it works for the cats.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

Well that just means either you haven't watched them play or you're dumb. Pretty sure you're not dumb. I melted down as bad as anyone but lets be real here. Since you clearly didn't see it I'd invite you to check the box score from their game yesterday. They may be worse than ISU and KU.
Yep, was going to recommend that NK watch a few of the video clips of the WVU vs. Maryland game, but that may be considered torture. Our offense sputters, their offense just plain doesn't go - at all. Now, maybe Maryland's D is good, but . . .  :dunno:

I have to admit that I really haven't watched any WVU football this year with exception to the 2nd half of the William and Mary game, where they put some drives together and found a way to beat a shitty team. They might be much worse than the scores of their games indicate. I do think Maryland is a pretty good team this year, though. The ACC is looking very tough. I was completely wrong about Clemson not being for real, and FSU looks great, too.

We shouldn't feel confident about beating anybody, though. We are turning the ball over like crazy against shitty teams, and it's hard to even beat teams that are worse than you if you can't take care of the ball.

Wise words. Whatever happened to the Coach Snyder who would not tolerate turnovers?

I wonder if there's a hotline number we could sneak into his next Taco Bell order or batch of choco chip cookies?

Didn't Grant Gregory take over as starter by this point in the '09 season? Or was it later?

Week 5! Sweet. Now I'm going to convince myself that Bill well actually play Sams and be very disappointed when the game starts and I have to watch Waters yet again.

he was a myth.  snyder tolerates turnovers when it's a player like ell, bish, etc.  which is why it's weird that sams doesn't play.

I think Sams will be getting a lot of PT pretty soon.  The Waters experiment was something they felt they had to try but it has crapped out.  If they keep forcing Waters intot he run game, TTT is likely to hide Jake's helmet

I thought that too, but then Bill didn't start Sams against Texas and I am starting to think that he might just continue benching his best player all year.
