You guys were right. Weis is a joke. His offense is outdated and his play calling is atrocious. The sad thing is that KU's defense was good enough last night to win. My only hope is that Weis hires an offensive coordinator and switches to a spread system next year (well, either that, or he resigns).

Yeah, that's the tough thing. KU probably can't afford to buyout another coach right now. If Weis tanks this year, we should just fire Zenger, and then give the new AD a chance to fire Charlie in year thr-ee or four (if he can't produce). Force Charlie to hire a young, innovative offensive coordinator and keep his hands off the play calling. It worked with Mangino, maybe it'll work with Weis.

Not having the money to fire someone has always been an interesting concept to me. Some of the kids on phog are advocating for bringing Mangino back. Wonder if he'd ever consider it.

it's my thought that it's pretty well established that waters sucks, but not established that sams doesn't.

That's the thing... Gill/Weis have probably set the program back about ten years. The stadium renovation would likely be done right now if Mangino was still the coach.

Yeah. It is like this new guy at the office is a huge KU football fan, season tix, goes to every game, former band member and I know this has to be killing him. He is a nice guy. Just hope they get a conference win or two. Some sign of progress.

As pointed out above, your facilities are embarrassing as well, so that's a hurdle. Also, Mangino sucks, he's just really good when compared to how atrocious Ku is as a program.

I've only seen Sams in limited action, but from what I've seen, he's the prototypical K-State stud option QB. Waters, on the other hand... I'm not sure what Snyder sees in him.

KU's defense is decent. Weis is a horrific play caller and his arrogance hurts KU.

If I were calling plays last night Sims gets 30 carries.

Agreed. I would have also given at least t-en carries to Pierson and Miller.

yeah, me too. he seems to be good at whatever it is he does. but, it's not like snyder has been reluctant to play qbs that run well and can't pass before.

He was still a better coach than Turner and Weis combined. Which is rough ridin' scary.

You've got a back avg. 5.7 yards a rush that's a strong kid with decent size and he gets 19 carries and you're desperate to win a game against a D1A opponent on the road?

Yea a new AD could probably do to weis what currie did to frank. Save a buyout and get a new coach.
