Tricked into abortion
« on: September 10, 2013, 12:26:53 PM »
http://www.cnn.com/2013/09/10/justice/girlfriend-abortion-case/index.html?hpt=hp_t2

It will be interesting to see what this does as far as abortion precedent goes.  I mean, if you both decide to have an abortion, it's legal in places.  If you trick your GF into having an abortion, it's punishable by 13 yrs in prison.

Also, what the eff?

He probably was convicted of giving her the wrong pill - assault or something similar, and not killing the baby.

That chick has crazy eyes.  I too would have taken my chances on being convicted over being attached to her for the next 18 years.

So it's murder unless the mom chooses to do it herself, and then it's none of your damned business. Makes sense.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, K-State fans could have beheaded the entire KU team at midcourt, and K-State fans would be celebrating it this morning.  They are the ISIS of Big 12 fanbases.

This is exactly the reaction I thought I would be seeing a bunch more of by now.  I mean, it seems like an easy step unless the specifics of the case are all about the BF violating the GF's rights rather than killing the baby.  That said, the name of the law the judgement was based on would leave you to believe differently.

I think this is why he's being allowed to bargain down to a lesser charge. Seems like a pretty slippery slope.

just adds to the complexity of the issue. i don't think it really changes much though because if you are pro-choice, it's all about the fact that it's the woman's body therefore she should be able to decide. the guy took that choice away.

however along those lines shouldn't the crime be against the woman? calling it murder, which they are, implies that he murdered the unborn baby. which is where it gets fuzzy.

definitely a crime against the woman.  libtards do such interesting tricks with logic re. abortion.

It only gets "fuzzy" there if you're a liberal.
