So I left work early today to pick up my daughter at school and just as I was leaving the school I got pulled over for going 41 (allegedly) in a 25 mph school zone and have a $380 ticket now.  I really don't think I was going that fast. I had just turned out of the school parking lot and I drive a Lexus hybrid, it's not a fast car.  I didn't check my spedometer immediately tho because I didn't notice him until I had stopped a couple hundred feet later at a red light.

Since 50% of the moderators and posters here are lawyers or law students this should be a relatively simple task.  Court date is 10/23.

Smells like a trial to me.  Have someone videotape you doing exactly that on a closed course.  Play it, then rest your case.  Make sure you don't go over the speed limit when you make your video though.  Very important.  Also gonna need a radar gun and maybe a second camera to get that too.  Maybe get a camera in the car with you too to record the ol' speedo, and for eff's sake tank up, video and court.  Case closed, verdict not guilty.
