Jason Whitlock calling any other writer on earth incompetent

Whitlock is amazing right now, and usually pretty great.

Part Three might have some of the worst investigating journalism I've ever seen along with being so obviously biased against OSU.  I can't believe this was suppose to be a big shocker...

You can level all the charges you want, but you still have to write compelling copy.  There's no narrative arc, no scenes, no sense of progression or creativity. It's one minor allegation after another that would be better suited in a power point.

I agree that JW is on the right side of it in this instance... but how often do you ever even hear a peep out of this guy when its not simply to express outrage?  Being a good sports reporter and a controversial sports reporter are not one and the same.  After all the emotionally charged hack jobs i've seen that guy turn out, him criticizing another reporter as "incompetent" is humorous to me.

he's pretty baller at expressing outrage though. actually, the most enjoyable people in the media and on twitter are just studs at expressing outrage.

yes re. whitlock being amazing

He hasn't been tweeting much today or late yesterday.  Apparently ESPN put him in time out for telling everyone how stupid Thayer is.

That would be weird since ESPN is still telling people how stupid Thayer is.

Quote
Defensive end William Bell told SI that he was a "borderline pothead" when he arrived as a freshman in 2004 and that he quickly learned he was not alone. He saw an opportunity and began bringing marijuana from his hometown of Belton, Texas, to Stillwater, selling blunts for $buzz and quarter ounces for $30. "I kept Bennett Hall hot," he says of the dormitory in which he and other athletes lived.

Next release still not out.  But SI says no changes being made.  Maybe they are just busy setting up their going out of business sale.
