I wonder how many parts the same type of story would be if it were ku basketball??

Part 1:  Our best friend Doug.

Part 2:  A multi-million dollar ticket scam/money laundering operation?  Who knew?    :dunno:  (aka:  what's in the envelope Brady?)

Part fizz:  We kept the Morris Twins eligible for fizz years.

Part 4:  Barnstorming:  The Post Senior Season payoff

Part buzz:  Walk-on's:  White, rich, generally bad at basketball and your new roommate

Part fizz:  We had no direct contact (but an agent did).

Funny how Roger Morningstar escaped this deal uncharged...and the dirt on his AAU connections didn't get discussed very much.

Just got a text from a guy I know who works at CNN (parent company of SI) who tells me he won't be shocked if we never make it to part five.

Gundy and the AD are both going to get fired for this, when ever thing is said and done. Also all the assistants that have been name are gone too.

We should hire Gundy.  Even if it means paying him to do nothing for a couple yrs.  I mean, 4-6mil over two or three yrs while Bill finishes up would be worth it.  Put some bldg on hold to do this if you have to.  Then Gundy picks up from there.

Yeah, as I said upfront, this is a good thing for them in the long run and nothing major is going to happen other than bringing in huge recruits and a bunch of partying

What I am enjoying is the group of people who are believing every word of that story while believing that the same thing doesn't happen inside their favorite college sports program.

I hope to God we do all of this stuff
We don't

yeah.  I mean I know we change grades but everyone does that.

we're so lame.   :frown:

I love the tucks getting so high and mighty about this. Erik Kynard got a B in a summer class he never went to for bringing the teacher a souvenir from the Olympics, FFS.

not a chance.  The AD might get some pressure, but Gundy will be fine.

Anthony, Bond, Mickens and Woods say they knew teammates who got high before practice and/or games, most often before matchups with "run-over teams" like Kansas.

If nothing comes of this still how awesome of a job by Thayer. Imagine being hired by SI and using it for nothing only but trying to sniff around your rival program to find any wrong doing

Defensive end William Bell told SI that he was a "borderline pothead" when he arrived as a freshman in 2004 and that he quickly learned he was not alone. He saw an opportunity and began bringing marijuana from his hometown of Belton, Texas, to Stillwater, selling blunts for $10 and quarter ounces for $30. "I kept Bennett Hall hot," he says of the dormitory in which he and other athletes lived.

It's amazing.  I assume these things have to pass by someone else at SI besides the writers before it goes out the door.  How did this thing get so far without someone pumping the brakes.
