Chill Out
« on: September 01, 2013, 05:57:36 PM »
Everybody needs to chill out, many people jump to to many conclusions to fast. All I see on this board is how bad were going to suck, down with Snyder, blah blah blah... What many of you fail to realize is, is that we lost to a darn good football team by 3 points and we played horrible!!! Who f***** cares if they are FCS, they are the Alabama of the FCS and could hold their own with just about any FBS school. Ill be the first one to admit that while watching the game in the stands KSU looked horrid the defense looked slow and the offense wasn't holding its own. However, watching the replay on TV were not that bad. Laugh all you want at me but for the most part are defensive line was fine and besides a few missed assignments are linebackers are not near as bad as in 2009... We had so many opportunities to have tackles for loses and sacks the whole night, however due to poor tackling techniques and not putting a body on the tight end or the receiver in the middle cost us big time due to the fact that it only takes a few seconds to get them the ball. And all that can be fixed over the next few weeks. The one problem I had was the fact that the DC did not change anything up at all. Why not put the CB'S right on the receivers and make their QB beat us over the top which he could not do. And are offense will get better over time.. What many people forget is that we gave up over 400 yards to Missouri State (a horrible offense) last year and only up by like 7 at the end of the 3rd. But due to the fact we won nobody really cared. I know it sucks to loose to an FCS school but lets move past that and have faith in the team and support them more then ever. We don't need to bad mouth all the players via twitter and talk smack on the best thing that ever has happend to the university. I promise we will be fine

You will destroy U mass and Monroe,  NDSU would destroy those 2 teams and probably go 8-4 in the big 12.

so I fully expect KSU to be 8-4 if not better, so chill out indeed!

Slaughter could've ended the game by making a goal line stand. NOPE.
Hubert should've been switched out as there was a lack of production (regardless of how shitty the OLINE was, stop dancing around and just run!). NOPE.
SAMS SAMS SAMS. NOPE.

If Snyder is going to build towards next year, then get the shitty players off the field and put the new people in now. No more sucky ass seniors. No more of the legacy players that never see the field (Boo you tate and others, wasting schollys that could've went to Luc and productive players). No more taco bell Bill!

Yeah the defense played poorly, but they did not get man handled like they did in a lot of games in 09. If you watched the replay you would notice that they were getting some pressure (which is good) it may have been late or they may have missed a tackle due poor tackling techniques which falls on Bill.
Also if they would press the receivers it would cause the QB to hold the ball a few seconds longer which would allow sacks. By no means are they "great" but they can be decent. Watch the replay against Missouri State last year, we looked pretty bad and allowed more yards to a much weaker opponent.

Also, I have no idea why Snyder plays some players based on seniority. I get that they are experienced but who really cares if we play freshman if they can play let them play. Willis should be playing and if Ramirez isn't being stupid (like I've heard) he should be playing also. Both are big for freshman and Ramirez is extremely fast. I'm shocked that Dakory didn't get in either.

If by "pressure" you mean "rushing up field past the quarterback like a fucktard" then I could agree with your summary of our pass rush. As far as the D-Line not being too bad or NDSU playing with most teams in the top part of FBS, you have to be rough ridin' kidding me.

We did not lose to a good team. We lost to a team that would finish middle of the road in the MAC. We should be worried as we do appear to have serious issues in the front seven. The improvement between game 1 and game 2 may be enough to alleviate some concerns, but as of right now we have to go off the sample that we have. And the results are extremely troubling.

A crazed tuck next to me at the game kept yelling for Hubert to stop dancing around. What else is he supposed to do when three unblocke d-linemen are about to crush him?
