Things I've noticed with this loss
« on: September 01, 2013, 10:24:03 AM »
-An over drive of Kim Cranes post. rough ridin' Woof!

-Snyder is done. Should have been done after last year. Good grief.

-Conspiracy theorist at their finest.

and more...

Mainly I wanted to get across that if losing means more Kim Cranes post, we're in for a long rough ridin' season. What an unbearable board right now. People ungrateful for Snyder are the same ones who were party rocking the last two seasons. Good grief people, get ahold of yourselves.  :th_twocents:

I didn't want Bill back.  Because this was going to happen.  Only I never expected to get two really rough ridin' amazing years.  I'm not sure if I'm supposed to let this year slide because of it or something.  We are not a program until we win without LHC Bill Snyder.

He built the goddamn Titanic again and hit the same rough ridin' iceberg.

If you don't think the last two seasons was worth it something is wrong with you. Seriously.

I'd take hiring Gary back (and the prospects of winning with Gary moving forward) than the last 4 years taken as a whole.  So if that means there is something wrong with me, then fine.  But we'd be in a much better position as a program with my scenario than we are right now.

We are in rough ridin' no man's land right now.

Being nervous about where we go from here is why I reminisce about the Patterson possibility.

Also, reminisce is a weird word

We would have all taken Patterson.

I thought this was a given here.  On other sites, maybe a preference for five years of Bill over Patterson was preferred, but not here.

We would have all taken Patterson.

I thought some people were saying the past couple years were worth it.  It is close, but not for me.

As for the Snyder should've been done last year, I don't know who, other than promoting current staff, would take the job after last year.

Of course. But outside of Patterson I don't see many scenarios that top the past two seasons (long or short term), that's all I'm saying.

Patterson never happened and it's time for some of you to wake up and realize that. Snyder is our ONLY option to this day, that makes any sense at all.

It's like some girl flirted with you one time, but they stayed with their significant other. You have something great now, but damn, all I can think about is that ass from 8 years ago that winked at me.

Losing to a FCS team is great?

Brilliant move by Bill calming the waters back down before he steps away. Lower those expectations, stock the cupboard, get the statue and stadium out of the then BOOM! Major Applewhite time. I feel better already.

@Chi- No, it rough ridin' sucks. It's Snyder's worse loss of his career, but if anyone deserves a little slack, it's the legend. We've been spoiled for so long, some tend to think we're untouchable.

Maybe it's because I am spoiled, but I don't feel spoiled.

I still would take Bill back then and the only reason a lot of you wouldn't is because of his age and because of the aurora that K-State can't win without LHC Bill Snyder.

If a CEO of a company makes them super successful and then they start tanking, nobody goes "well, he built it, he deserves to leave when he wants"  eff no.  I don't know why people look at football so different.  He is being paid to be successful and win games.  If he doesn't do it, bring in someone who can.  Were we lucky to have him, sure, but he's not out here donating his rough ridin' time.  We are not paying him today for the games we won last year.  We are paying him to win this year.

I do think he can turn it around and we could still win 7 this year.  I think with our QBs, we will be better than the 04 and 05 teams.  I think Snyder should have a couple years yet to build the roster/team.  But if he underperforms, he can have his ass fired just like anyone else.

this is exactly why this was never going to end well.  the "calming the waters" crap was so rough ridin' stupid on a variety of levels.  did it work?  sure.  in the short term we got 2 great years.  Wonderful.  I'll make sure to get all those commemorative DVDs and watch them on Saturdays instead the inevitable dogshit I'm going to be watching.

I get your point, but you're not going to drop the CEO after one bad quarter of the fiscal year vs. a quarter century of success.
