So f'n adorable

In fact, had basketball not panned out, they already had a backup plan in place.

"We were going to come out with a rock band," Pullen said. "I was going to play guitar. Denis was going to sing in Spanish."

If the Wildcats actually follow through with this endeavor, some artistic differences must be resolved. Samuels prefers R&B to rock 'n' roll, and he has different ideas about their respective roles within the band.

"I would be the singer," said Samuels, a sophomore forward. "Jake would probably be the dude that just tries to take his shirt off all the time. Curt would on the drums, Dom (Sutton) playing saxophone. Denis would probably be playing some weird instrument."

Quote
This chemistry has carried K-State farther than anyone expected. If the Wildcats beat Butler and cut down the nets as champions of the West Region, it would be the first time K-State has put scissors to twine since winning the Big Eight Tournament in 1980.

Well, officially, at least.

"We actually cut down the nets before we played Texas," Samuels said.

They did this because they didn't like the nets at Bramlage Coliseum, and hey, why not practice for the big moment?

"I'm kind of shaky with it," Samuels said. "Hopefully I can get a little bit better."

scissors to twine

Can anyone else just feel/hear how that would be if you were doing it? Must be magical.

Looks like McGrudz Justin Werner imo.

Funny story to add. Roommate ran into Werner in aggieville after our Sweet Sixteen victory. Said something like, "man I bet you wish you were still on the team."
Werner's response:  "yeeeeaaah". In a real long, drawn out, awkward way.
True story.

But why is Clemente getting ready to high dive away from the basket?

No way this is true.  We saw Werner in Vegas and he was all excited for EMAW's success.  Still felt like part of the team.  Even showed it off to some strangers.  Not awkward at all.

Speaking of adorableness, on CBS's "road to the final four" pregame show they just did a great piece about Jake.
