How surprised would you be if it came out that Sean was basically head coach this game in place of Bill? It would make sense why the special teams were so bad, amongst other, more obvious, coaching deficiencies.
How were the special teams bad? How were we going to stop NDSU from essentially keeping the ball out of the hands of our playmakers? Ask them to stop skying punts and kicking off to upbacks? We are essentially talking about one very poor punt and as much as we like to give Sean crap, he isn't the punter anymore it isn't his fault the kid gagged and hit a 30 yard line drive.
did you think kick coverage was good?
they averaged 30 yards per kick return and rambled off about 50 on the punt return
1. I didn't say anything was good.
2. Four kickoffs 2 touchbacks, two returns that averaged 29 yds a 30 yard return and a 28 yard return, NDSU started both drives on their own 30.
3. I already mentioned the punt return, the punt was a low line drive, the coverage had no chance to set up. Sean doesn't punt anymore.
