The 'cats come to Morgantown on a Thursday next year as well, Nov. 20.   :frown: Hard to make that trip on a Thursday night. (3 hours, one way)

I don't see how ISU can move the date.

It's pretty simple... The conference office and TV networks tell them to move it.

Except it is theor Homecoming.   Moving it means making Baylor homecoming on September 27 or OU on October 30 or Nov. 1.     While it's possible, schools really like having homecoming in mid-October.

Wow. ISU's alumni association must have more leverage in these negotiations than I thought.

ISU (and most of the Big 12) already announced their 2014 schedule.   Had this occurred prior to that, I think the conference would just tell them to move it, but now that it has been announced for a month, I think they will need the school's agreement to move the date.

Also, if ISU moved the game to Sept 6, they would have one game during a three week span.

Yeah that's not how it works, all of the conference games are televised anyway, if there's no upside to ISU they don't have to do it.

Baylor should come in and convince them that since they invented Homecoming that it will be okay.

They had that this season and Paul Rhodes seriously, with a straight face used it as an excuse for poor play.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

Plus Auburn is awful. There is a pretty good chance that Auburn buys out of it, though.

We did go from a natty to 3-9 in two years  :flush:

We're still paying for all of our old coaches/players, so I doubt we buy our way out.  Lowder isn't slingin' the money like he use to.

So does Mizzou
Mizzou actually refused a TV game a few years ago because it would have moved kickoff to 11am and eff'ed up the parade.

I would think we play the game since we won't have a return game to Auburn. Plus Auburn is awful. There is a pretty good chance that Auburn buys out of it, though.

So far I'm loving our schedule for 2014. Here are some thoughts from two of the four UTEP fans in existence, on getting schedule against K-state. (I Think NDSU has a larger following)

"NMSU is a guaranteed win.  Now we have a very good chance to go winless next season."

"I think we should only play either NMSU or UNM each year, not both.I also think a body bag game at KSU is frickin' Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!). We need to get a service academy in here. Preferably Army. "
