Was so depressed that our potential dream season got derailed so early. Roommates were having a party that night and I wanted no part of it. Got in the car with my girlfriend and we drove to Salina for the night and stayed in a hotel to drink and mope. Seriously considered just driving all the way down to Houston that night to watch the Chiefs play at the Texans the next day. Didn't, but debated it hard.  All in all, driving to Salina because we were angry about Jeff Schwinn was a very weird move in retrospect. I think we ate at Cracker Barrel.

Had we won that game, the end result of the season would have still been the same. The worst game that season was McNeese St when Ell got injured. After that our natty chances were gone.

Even though we Dr. Peppered, that game is still a deep psychological wound bcuz I thought at the beginning of the year that we could've been MNCing if we were hELLthy. :frown:

Also, our cheerleaders' outfits in 2003 looked like they were from 1993.  :blank:

Hated the CTR game a LOT worse than the Marshall game in '03, while we're discussing bad memories.

Obviously, no Ell hurt that game, but that game is on  Snyder. I watched that replay, he clearly underestimated Marshall and overestimated Schwinn. The number of times Schwinns number was called on QB keepers or draws were insane.  Plus he waited till late in the game to use Sproles in any way other than run him straight up the middle.
